3.7 x 2.4 x 2.0 cm. A LARGE, 3.7 cm, doubly terminated, sharp crystal of the ULTRA RARE vesuvianite group species, wiluite, from the Type Locality. This lustrous, dark olive-green, FLOATER crystal is pristine. These crystals originally sold cheaply as vesuvianite, until they were determined to be a new species. This is a SUPER piece. Ex. 8.4 x 6.4 x 6.0 cm. This rare titanium-bearing member of the Vesuvianite group is only found in a few worldwide localities, and the most desirable specimens are those from the type locality in Russia. This specimen features a pair predominant, good quality, sharp, euhedral dark blackish-green color prismatic tetragonal crystal measuring 1.5 cm aesthetically sitting on serpentine matrix. Ex. 2.5 x 1.7 x 1.5 cm. A doubly terminated, sharp crystal of the very rare species wiluite, from the Type Locality. This lustrous, dark olive-green, floater crystal is pristine. One termination has a pyramidal termination and the other end is a modified pinacoid. Very interesting. These crystals originally sold as vesuvianite, until they were determined to be a new species. Aesthetically perched on top of its matrix is a 3 cm tall, doubly-terminated, lustrous, blackish-green crystal of wiluite, a close relative of vesuvianite. There are a few gemmy green highlights in evidence when the crystal has light on it. This is a well-exposed and beautiful exmaple of this rare species from its type locality.
