Wendwilsonite, Roselite - Bou Azzer, Bou Azzer District, Tazenakht, Ouarzazate Province, Souss-Massa-Draâ Region, Morocco

5.9 x 4.9 x 3.2 cm. A very rich and fine specimen of sparkly, gemmy arsenates from the Bou Azzer District. The light rose-red wendwilsonite crystals are the rare magnesium analogue of roselite and Bou Azzer is the Co-type Locality with the Sterling Mine of New Jersey. The glassy, magenta roselite crystals, the cobalt analogue of wendwilsonite, are a very nice compliment. An excellent example of the species and famous locale. Ex. Wes Parker Collection.

A showy and excellent specimen of gemmy and lustrous magenta roselite/wendwilsonite crystals, up to 8 mm long, on quartz-rich matrix from Bou Azzer, Morocco. In fact, Wendwilsonite was not discovered until 1987! 8.4 x 8.4 x 4.5 cm

Some tend to be more bladed, but all are beautiful to look at. This is WENDELL WILSON'S WENDWILSONITE! It is to this day the best miniature he or I have seen, for sharp, gemmy, isolated crystals on contrasting matrix. This is a premium miniature.
