Very nice single crystal perched very attractively along some matrix. It is GEMMY and exceedingly rich in color. Minor matrix inclusions at the tips do not detract from the aesthetics at all. IT IS BASICALLY A DOUBLY-TERMINATED CRYSTAL THAT CAN BE SHOWN EITHER HORIZONTALLY OR VERTICALLY AS DESIRED! Overall, very nice specimen.
A beautiful cluster of at least seven crystals to 4.5 cm radiating up from the matrix. All the crystals have good luster and superb clarity. This specimen just literally glows, and is one of the better such groupings that you will find from this find where nice , full clusters are actually more uncommon than isolated crystals.
A super-sharp cluster of lustrous crystals on matrix. With such good clarity, this specimen glows with even a little bit of light. The terrific aesthetics make this a killer specimen, clearly one of the best of the entire find. Like the major piece at the top of these pages, it was "backdoored" out and not really part of any of the wholesale lots which reached dealers in quantity. The isolation, perfection, and clarity of these crystals makes the specimen, to my mind, one of the finest vivianites for its size, period.
A sharp, complexly arranged small cabinet piece featuring one 4.5 cm (1.4 inch) crystal and several smaller crystals jutting out in one direction, and a very appealing cluster of crystals up to 4.2 cm in the other direction. The piece looks rather like a flower in person, and is definitely one of the better small cabs in the find. Each side of the piece really compleements the other: the bowtie cluster to the right accenting the larger, front-facing crystals to the left. Excellent transparency, rich green color, and very good luster make this specimen attractive competition-level in quality.
WOW! Super-sharp single "triangular" crystal 4.6 cm tall resting on a small amount of matrix, and also slight contacted at the top. The glassy luster and superb clarity make this a killer miniature. You do not often find vivianites this thick (almost 1.5 cm) to be so glassy and clear. Minor matrix inclusiosn are in the termination, but they do not affect its sharpness, especially from the front. A definite keeper and one of the best darned deals in the whole batch!!
A doubly-terminated (!) 3.2 cm crystal perched delicately on a sliver of matrix. If you could, it is just the way you would design a specimen like this. Good luster and color, and although clarity is average for this particular pcket it would still rank really high compared to previous finds in Bolivia.
Very aesthetic cluster of clear vivianites with attractive and unusual rounded terminations. The luster is good, and with a little light these blades just glow!
This is a lustrous, LARGE (9 x 4 x 2.1 cm) single composite crystal with excellent luster & color! It has very good clarity in the top portions, though the lower part is darker because of the thickness of the crystal. It is not the "finest" crystal in the lot in terms of crystallographic form, but it IS nevertheless a complete and large crysatl that is both colorful and will be visually appealing to many folks. It has a small amount of matrix on the back.
Very sharp 2.7 cm crystal growing out of a base of matrix and another vivianite. Terrific clarity makes this crystal just glow a beautiful green! A definite bargain at the price, for such showiness!
Beautiful vertical grouping of sharp lustrous and clear crystals. NOTE HOW GEMMY THEY ARE! This is an insanely good miniature in terms of overall quality for the mineral species... The pictures show how attractive this mini really is!
Fantastic super-sharp mini that has an appearance to beat all! Held up to the light, you see a clear double-pyramid window with a little matrix in the back creating an interesting image that opens the imagination! WOW!
Very sharp 2.75 cm doubly-terminated crystal that stands perfectly on matrix. Good luster and superb clarity, as seen in the photos. Very aesthetic miniature by any standard!
A very nice single crystal perched very attractively on matrix. The very good color and luster compensate for the good, but not great, clarity. Still, choice piece by any previous standard and priced relatively cheaply here
Superb transparency(!) highlights this complex cluster of smaller (to 2.2 cm)crystals. If you like excellent luster in very fine crystals with just plain pizzazz, this is for you. Each and every crystal is a gem in its own right.
A superb miniature in every sense of the word. Great clarity, color, and luster, combined with absolutely perfect aesthetics, make this a killer specimen that belongs in the top percentile of these miniatures.
