A superb, dramatic example of this old American classic from teh 1950s-60s, with sharp, elongate, transparent purple crystals. The color is distinct, and makes these unique in teh vivianite world to my knowledge compared to material from other locales. 7.5 x 4.3 x 3.1 cm
A SUPERB, VERY GEMMY and pristine, thick, emerald-green viviianite arrowhead crystal perched on a bit of matrix from the recent finds in Bolivia. 2.8 x 2.0 x 1.4 cm
A sharp, gemmy crystal of the classic bottle green, with a wonderfully pristine termination. Cleavage contact is on the back; the display face shows pretty bevels - you can actually see the three side faces from the display face. 6.8 x 1.5 x 0.7cm
A delicate and elegant mini of vivianite, featuring thin, terminated crystals of the classic bottle-green standing straight up off of a carefully-trimmed matrix. Ex. Marty Lewadny Collection. 4.3 x 2.3 x 1.5cm
A sharp, wonderfully trimmed Bolivian vivianite specimen, featuring a crystal of classic form and bottle-green color, set against a sparing backdrop of matrix. 5.2 x 3.5 x 1.9cm
This miniature size piece features absolutely beautiful, lustrous, gemmy, emerald green, sword shaped "textbook" crystals of Vivianite measuring up to 2.3 cm on metamorphosed Sandstone. 5.4 x 4.0 x 2.8cm
This small cabinet size piece features absolutely beautiful, lustrous, gemmy, emerald green, sword shaped "textbook" crystals of Vivianite on metamorphosed Sandstone. 5.8 x 4.0 x 4.0cm
The mine at Huanuni has produced some of the finest Vivianite specimens in the world. This crystal group is comprised of a few large, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, rich green color prismatic crystals. This is from a find from about 7 years ago, when there was a bonanza at Huanuni for Vivianites. Shortly after, there were no more specimens, and there truly hasn''t been since. 8.7 x 2.2 x 1.7cm
A very large, finely-terminated crystal of vivianite, with classic bottle-green color and a very pretty layered, stepped growth that has resulted in a staggered termination. The crystal shows really good transparency towards the top. 9.4 x 5.1 x 2.6cm
This mine has produced what are clearly some of the finest quality Vivianite specimens ever seen. This small cabinet size piece features an absolutely beautiful, lustrous, gemmy, emerald green, sword shaped "textbook" crystal of Vivianite with minor metamorphosed Sandstone. These are some of the best quality Vivianite crystals you will see from any locality, hands down. Keep in mind that over 75% of the specimens from this find have had SERIOUS damage problems. This piece is virtually undamaged and is one of the largest I''ve seen from the find. I have never seen specimens of this quality, color, luster and gemminess before, not only from Bolivia, but virtually any world locality. 8.2 x 3.0 x 2.5cm
This small cabinet size piece features absolutely beautiful, lustrous, gemmy, emerald green, sword shaped "textbook" crystals (one is doubly-terminated) of Vivianite on metamorphosed Sandstone. These are some of the best quality Vivianite crystals you will see from any locality. Keep in mind that over 75% of the specimens from this find have had SERIOUS damage problems. This piece is virtually undamaged and so aesthetic. I have never seen specimens of this quality, color, luster and gemminess before. 6.5 x 4.3 x 4.2cm
A chunky, razor-sharp crystal of vivianite, with a bit of accenting matrix - of the typical bottle green color for Bolivian vivianite. 3.8 x 2.3 x 1.8cm
An excellent and showy specimen from the famous Blackbird Mine of Idaho of lustrous, purple-black vivianite crystals to 1.5 cm with gemmy blue and green areas. Hard to get in this quality. 3.8 x 2.5 x 1.5 cm
A fine cluster of lustrous blades of vivianite from Russia, in an elegant fan; the color is a very dark green with flashes of blue and purple. 4.5 x 3.4 x 2.6 cm
ex. Marilyn Dodge
This is an unusual and striking form for the mineral, sort of like a hedgehog all tucked in on itself. The specimen consists of radiating intergrown green blades that form a near-spherical conglomerate. Good color, luster, and very interesting form add to the desirability of this rare locality thumb.
