10.2 x 6.0 x 2.7 cm. A fine, old-time cabinet uvarovite specimen from California. Thousands of scintillating, emerald-green crystals to 1 mm cover the matrix on this piece. Uvarovite is the uncommon chromium-rich garnet species. Seldom available from this locale. Ex. Mullane Collection.
4.8 x 4.6 x 2.4 cm. Sharp, gemmy, emerald-green uvarovite garnet crystals really sparkle on matrix on this excellent specimen from the Type Locality in Russia - the Saranovskii Mine in the Urals. The crystals are up to 2 mm and have textbook dodecahedral form. Uvarovite is the uncommon calcium chromium garnet group end-member. Specimens of this quality haven’t been available since the early 1990s, when the Fersman Museum of Moscow first brought some to the United States.
3.4 x 2.9 x 0.8 cm. Sharp, gemmy, light and dark emerald-green uvarovite garnet crystals really sparkle on sculptural matrix plate on this excellent specimen from the Type Locality in Russia - the Saranovskii Mine in the Urals. The crystals are up to 2 mm and have textbook dodecahedral form. Uvarovite is the uncommon calcium chromium garnet group endmember. Specimens of this quality haven’t been available since the early 1990s, when the Fersman Museum of Moscow first brought some to the United States.
10.5 x 7.2 x 3.8 cm. A fine, old-time, cabinet uvarovite specimen from California. Scintillating, emerald-green crystals to 3 mm richly cover the sculptural matrix on this fine piece. Uvarovite is the uncommon chromium-rich garnet species. Seldom available from this locale. Ex. Mullane Collection.
5.6 x 4.2 x 2.4 cm. Sharp, gemmy, emerald-green uvarovite garnet crystals really sparkle on matrix on this excellent specimen from the Type Locality in Russia - the Saranovskii Mine in the Urals. Specimen of this quality haven’t been available since the early 1990s, when the Fersman Museum of Moscow first brought some to the United States. This is a superb, sparkly specimen with unusually good distinct crystallization.
6.7 x 2.8 x 1.2 cm. Sharp, gemmy, emerald-green uvarovite crystals really sparkle on matrix on this very rich and excellent specimen from the Type Locality in Russia - the Saranovskii Mine in the Urals. Specimens of this quality haven’t been available since the early 1990s, when the Fersman Museum of Moscow first brought some to the United States.
What I love about this uvarovite is that it is NOT the typical druse of micro-crystals, but ISOLATED, clearly visible INDIVIDUAL crystals measuring to about 2 mm! They show the most incredible, lustrous deep green color, too. 4.3 x 4.2 x 1.1 cm

A specimen that is way above par for the material in that the large crystals (to 5-6 mm) are well-isolated . This is now old material, and new finds here have been few and insignificant in comparison with past specimens of this rare garnet varietal. 4.1 x 3.6 x 1.8 cm
A large and showy specimen rich with deep chrome-green crystals of this rare garnet varietal. Old material, no longer coming out! 7.2 x 6 x 2.7 cm
The great Chrome mine at Sarany has produced some of the most colorful and impressive "Alpine-type" Russian mineral specimens in recent years. This specimen features plenty of Uvarovite crystals with high luster and intense emerald-green color on chromite matrix. These specimens have become increasingly difficult to obtain in recent years. 5.4 x 4.9 x 1.9cm
This thin crust of uvarovite on matrix looks very much like a forest of tinsel-covered Christmas trees, as seen from the air. The color of this uvarovite druse is emerald green, with obvious intense luster. A rare thing, indeed, in this size of a plate! 10.8 x 10.5 x 4.4 cm
A classic, old-time specimen of lustrous, dark green uvarovite garnets to 4 mm on quartz-rich matrix with green diopside and a few nickeline crystals from Outokumpu, Finland. 8.8 x 6.0 x 3.3 cm
