MD-18993 - Uranocircite - - Archived Streuberg Quarry, Bergen, Zobes-Bergen District, Vogtland, Saxony, Germany thumbnail, .8 cm
Not only an incredibly fine specimen of a rare uranium mineral from a very old classic locality, but beautiful at that! The yellow-green clusters measure up to around .8 cm across. NOT your average German specimen with a few jumbly spots of meta-autunite. It was deaccessioned from the A.E. Seaman Museum some years ago (pers. comm with George Robinson), where it was analyzed and suprisingly found to be uranocircite and not meta-autunite. These specimens show wonderful bright color and finely-formed crystals. This one shows really nice separation of the sheaf-like clusters, and good coverage – a really super toenail specimen of this relatively rare mineral. 3 x 2.8 x 1.8 cm
MD-221049 - Uranocircite - - Archived São Pedro claim, Malacacheta, Mucuri valley, Minas Gerais, Southeast Region, Brazil thumbnail, 2.7 x 2.1 x 1.0 cm.
2.7 x 2.1 x 1.0 cm. A glowing neon, green-yellow specimen with superb bladed crystals of this radioactive species, from one of the most classic old locales. Ex. Jamie Bird Collection.

MD-263833 - Uranocircite - - Archived Streuberg Quarry, Bergen, Zobes-Bergen District, Vogtland, Saxony, Germany miniature, 3.6 x 2.4 x 0.7 cm.
3.6 x 2.4 x 0.7 cm. The famous Streuberg Quarry of Saxony, Germany is the Type Locality for uranocircite. This old-time specimen features lustrous, canary-yellow plates richly covering the thin plate of quartz. Uranocircite was discovered in 1877. I would not doubt that this piece was acquired by the Philadelphia Academy of Sciences soon thereafter, as the specimen comes with an old label in German.
MD-34716 - Uranocircite - - Archived São Pedro claim, Malacacheta, Mucuri valley, Minas Gerais, Southeast Region, Brazil thumbnail, 2.9 x 2.9 x 1.8 cm
A glowing neon green-yellow specimen with superb crystals of this radioactive rarity, from one of the most classic old locales. Showy, and significant! 2.9 x 2.9 x 1.8 cm
MD-51177 - Uranocircite - - Archived São Pedro claim, Malacacheta, Mucuri valley, Minas Gerais, Southeast Region, Brazil miniature, 3.7 x 3.5 x 3.1 cm
This has to be one of the hands-down , most gorgeous examples for the species I have ever seen. It is a stunning miniature, with arborescent clusters of vivid neon-yellow/green crysatls arranged upon a knob of matrix. The piece is good from ALL SIDES, and is complete 360 degrees. You could not ask for better, I think. Although one of the more common radioactives per se, aesthetic , display-quality examples are NOT so common. These were mined some 20-30 years ago, I have been given to understand. 3.7 x 3.5 x 3.1 cm
MD-64422 - Uranocircite - - Archived Assunção Mine, Aldeia Nova, Ferreira de Aves, Sátão, Viseu District, Portugal miniature, 3.7 x 2.5 x 2.3 cm
A gorgeous miniature from a most unusual and scarce locality for the species. I have not seen more than a handful for sale, of which this is the best I have seen. It is, in any case, a gorgeous specimen that stands on its own regardless of the locality. I am told that it was mined in 2005. 3.7 x 2.5 x 2.3 cm
MD-69255 - Uranocircite - - Archived Streuberg Quarry, Bergen, Zobes-Bergen District, Vogtland, Saxony, Germany thumbnail, 2.4 x 2.4 x 1.7 cm
