7.9 x 7.5 x 4.3 cm. An unusual beast, composed of tiny stilbite crystals in roseate clusters perched atop doubly-terminated little heulandites to 8mm, all colored green (and uniformly and prettily so) by inclusions of celadonite. I have seen many of each species so included, but seldom do you see them together. Beautiful piece from Charlie Key’s Indian suite.
9.7 x 5.6 x 3.0 cm. Deep green, mint colored apophyllites of an unusually dark hue, contrasted with sparkling white stilbite. Superb and beautiful specimen from Charlie Key’s extensive Indian collection.
8.2 x 4.7 x 3.3 cm. This is a very attractive Stilbite specimen from this locality. It features aesthetic, sharp, lustrous, tan colored sheaves of Stilbite sitting atop green Prehnite with minor basalt matrix.
20.3 x 11.2 x 8.7 cm. I know that Indian Zeolite specimens are everywhere, but of all the colors that you see from India, you rarely get such a vibrant and eye catching color contrast such as this specimen exhibits. It features several large, lustrous, beautiful reddish pink bladed Stilbite crystals measuring up to 4.5 cm intermixed with gemmy, glassy, blocky, yellowish-green Apophyllite crystals measuring up to 4.2 cm. Considering that the majority of Stilbite crystals rarely have color (typically white or tan), it’s a great joy to see Stilbite crystals that really stand out. This specimen is from a pocket found about 4 years ago.
11.4 x 7.9 x 3.6 cm. Balls of deep blue-green cavansite are beautifully intergrown with pearly stilbites along the edge of the host matrix. As you can see, this piece is unusually aesthetic, the way the cavansites and stilbites are isolated at the top of the piece rather than being randomly spread across a piece of matrix. Henry Minot specimen.
3.0 x 2.3 x 2.0 cm. A beautiful, 1.0 cm arborescent spray of gemmy, royal-blue pentagonite blades very AESTHETICALLY set in a vug with contrasting matrix from the famous Wagholi Quarry of India. The elongated blades really accent this sculptural, pentagonite cluster.
10.6 x 10.2 x 3.9 cm. Yes, Oregon DID turn out specimens of stilbite in the past - from two localities in particular: Goble, and Dallas (Polk County). This one is just spectacular - not only for the quality of its crystals, but for its prodigious size. The crystals are a beautiful light creamy pink, showing lamellar bowtie form. They are densely inter-grown, and in fact, there is only a tiny amount of matrix on the back - this is essentially an amalgam of crystals. An exceptional U.S. specimen!
9.0 x 6.7 x 5.9 cm. A complex and unusual combo specimen from India. In the middle of the specimen is a fan of reddish-brown heulandite that anchors the top and bottom. Above, you have grey stalactitic drusy quartz, with peachy stilbites and a gemmy little fluorapophyllite. Ex. Rebecca Stewart collection.
4.4 x 3.2 x 2.9 cm. A rounded cluster of gemmy apophyllite nestled against a stilbite crystal that is covered (as the area around it) with grayish quartz - creating a pretty contrast with the apophyllite.
17.9 x 13.4 x 10.4 cm. A BIG, SHOWY specimen from India - a crystal-covered ridge in a pocket that was amazingly trimmed out so that it is exposed and beautiful on three of the four sides! It has so much going for it: These BIG salmon-colored heulandite bowties, smaller, pearly crystals of stilbite, and all on a backdrop of dove-grey quartz. That large bowtie in the middle measures just under 9 cm across!
7.0 x 4.3 x 3.2 cm. Undoubtedly, one of FINEST and MOST AESTHETIC cavansite specimens that we have seen. Visually stunning, with the largest, royal-blue cavansite ball beautifully crowning the top with the smaller cavansites below in attendance. The sculptural matrix is richly covered with pearlescent, water-clear to light tan, bladed stilbite crystals. Most cavansites are not on this high of quality stilbite matrix. Pieces of this rare quality and combination came out in the early 1990s, with very few, since.
9.9 x 7.9 x 6.5 cm. A very large, gorgeous bloom of stilbite from India, with two intergrown crystal masses of a lovely light peach-cream color. You can see the scintillating luster across the surface, in the photo. The lower "wheel" measures 7.5 cm across, so this specimen has size as well as beauty!
6.2 x 4.9 x 3.4 cm. A pearly, light salmon-pink crystal of stilbite, with smaller crystals around it, juts up from a beautifully contrasting matrix of drusy, light grey quartz. This specimen was trimmed out just right to strike a fine balance between the pretty stilbites and the matrix.
7.9 x 5.3 x 4.4 cm. A shimmering "bloom" of stilbite, snowy white with a glittery luster, from India.
4.5 x 4.5 x 2.5 cm. A really cute and nifty Indian specimen. A pearlescent, doubly terminated stilbite crystal "caps" a lustrous, salmon-pink heulandite crystal, which rests on a crust of chalcedony. The overall composition is very pleasing and aesthetic. Choice material from the George Feist Collection, #2403.
