JEWEL-LIKE in their intensely glassy, glowing quality, a cluster of apophyllites nestled amongst pearly crystals of stilbite. There are a couple of cleanly cleaved crystals at the bottom of the cluster that do not detract. 5.3 x 4.9 x 4.9cm
A STUNNINGLY pretty specimen, with two large (to 4 cm), gemmy, blocky apophyllites with the best GLASSY luster. They are nestled amongst large, shimmering bowtie stilbites of a pretty salmon color. This is much better in person…a real showstopper! 15.5 x 11.5 x 5.5 cm
A cluster of extremely bright and gemmy crystals of apophyllite on a matrix of lustrous, sparkly stilbite crystals. 5.8 x 5.3 x 3.8 cm
Bright, gemmy crystals of apophyllite of the "blocky" form, with flat terminations, growing on a bed of pearly, shimmering stilbites - pretty! 10.8 x 7.5 x 7.1 cm
Large, pearly pastel orangey-pink stilbite crystals on a dramatically contrasting matrix of dark gray quartz, with small spheres of translucent quartz decorating its surface. Very pretty and showy! 11.1 x 8.6 x 8.4 cm
Super-bright clusters of cavansite decorate the surface of this stilbite-covered matrix; some of them have grown on the larger stilbite crystals, and a couple are actually embedded inside them! A beautiful specimen. 8.3 x 6.6 x 5.5 cm
An intensely gemmy crystal of apophyllite pokes out from between stilbite crystals. This combination and the bright white matrix make this a particularly appealing zeolite specimen. 9.9 x 5.8 x 5.3 cm
An aesthetic thumbnail of a gemmy spray of green apophyllite crystals set on a pearlescent stilbite blade from Jalgaon. One side of the cluster has a few cleaved crystals, but is out of sight and this remains a very showy piece. 2.5 x 1.8 x 1.8 cm
An EXCELLENT and VERY AESTHETIC CABINET specimen of pearlescent stilbite bowties to 6.0 cm on matrix from an UNCOMMON locality, Berufjord, Iceland. Ex Lance Cook Collection. Lance"s card/envelope includes two labels and a 3 1/2" x 5" color print. 11.0 x 7.5 x 3.7 cm
Another large SHOWPIECE specimen, incredibly dazzling! This is a cluster of large, thick, lustrous books of pink stilbite, with lustrous "green-stripe" apophyllites amongst them! One of the stilbite books rises from the cluster dramatically, with an apophyllite having grown perfectly right on its side - making the specimen very sculptural and dramatic. 17.5 x 12.7 x 12.3 cm
Bright, peacock-blue cavansite on a cluster of pearly stilbite crystals. 3.4 x 2.7 x 2.7 cm
This is, quite simply, the finest stilbite I have ever seen from Malmberget. It also happens to be big, and pretty, period! Note the fine individual, translucent crystals all over the piece, all around!? 8.9 x 5 x 4 cm
15.0 x 9.5 x 5.9 cm. A fine and unusual large cabinet specimen from older finds near Poona, India. This distinctly biological-looking specimen has pearlescent stilbite blades scattered on the rounded, drusy quartz growths rising up from the flat plate of drusy quartz. Note that the stilbite blades are restricted to the "growths" and are not on the plate, itself. Ex. Peter Bancroft Collection. This is material from the 1970s or early 1980s.
A VERY AESTHETIC cluster of lustrous, deep, royal-blue cavansite balls accented by a fan of pearlescent stilbite blades on matrix from the famous Wagholi Quarrry of India. This showy piece can be displayed several ways, as you can see. 3.1 x 2.5 x 2.4 cm
A 6-cm doubly-terminated apophyllite crystal (along with a couple of smaller ones) with shimmering, pearly bowties of stilbite on a sparkly matrix that is actually a CAST of an earlier crystal. 6.6 x 4.8 x 4.6 cm
