A superb toenail-sized specimen of bright, peacock blue cavansite clusters perched on a a just-right matrix of sparkly stilbite! 3.2 x 2.6 x 1.5cm
A huge, dazzling plate of gemmy-tipped apophyllite crystals to over 5 cm, intergrown with light salmon-colored bowties of stilbite. A big, flashy showpiece! 25.0 x 20.5 x 9.2cm
A BIG, SHOWY specimen of lustrous, salmon-orange colored stilbite clusters, intergrown in a strikingly sculptural form! 9.3 x 8.9 x 4.5cm
We bought all the best specimens from this pocket that was discovered last year in Jalgaon, of pretty pink stilbite clusters on dove-gray, sparkly stalactitic quartz. 5.0 x 4.9 x 3.2 cm
A big, fat, sharp and gemmy apophyllite crystal, measuring 5 cm, in a nest of pearly stilbite bowties. NICE! 9.5 x 7.1 x 5.6cm
A VERY SHOWY and EXCELLENT CABINET plate of glassy, colorless, and translucent, blocky apophyllite crystals with lustrous, brown, tabular stilbite crystals from Santa Caterina, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Ex Lance Cook Collection. Apophyllite and stilbite from Brazil are VERY UNCOMMON and this is a good one, with essentially no damage. 11.3 x 6.5 x 2.6 cm
Emanating from a wreath of lustrous, cream colored, stilbite crystals, to 3.5 cm across, is a spear shaped, pristine, and transparent, light emerald green, fluorapophyllite crystal. The length of the fluorapophyllite crystal is 6.5 cm in length and it exhibits very good luster. The termination is RAZORsharp! This is more than just a very nice combo specimen - it is truly top shelf! Despite as many as I have seen, I was blown away by this one. This is an older piece obtained some 20 years ago at the Pandulena Hills Quarry, and sold only recently from the Bill and Elizabeth Moller collection. 7.6 x 6.6 x 2.9 cm
A WHOPPER plate of blocky green apophyllites, to 4 cm across the termination, with thick clusters of orangey-pink stilbite. The apophyllites have a whitish coating on ther terminations. BIG and SHOWY! 21.0 x 17.2 x 8.5cm
A dazzling and large specimen of peacock-blue microcrystals of cavansite sprinkled on a bed of pearly stilbite bowtie crystals! GORGEOUS! 13.3 x 7.0 x 4.9cm
A BIG 7-cm crystal of calcite, translucent-to-transparent, with pretty, undulating faces - decorated with shimmering bowties of stilbite. This is just a wonderful, large glowing crystal, overall a truly aesthetic piece - 11.4 x 10.1 x 8.2cm
I know that Indian Zeolite specimens are everywhere, but of all the colors that you see from India, you rarely get such a vibrant and eye catching color contrast such as this specime exhibits. Several large, lustrous, beautiful red/pink bladed Stilbite crystals measuring up to 3.0 cm intermixed with gemmy, glassy, blocky, yellowish-green Apophyllite crystals measuring up to 4.2 cm. Considering that the majority of Stilbite crystals rarely have color (typically white or tan), its a great joy to see Stilbite crystals that really stand out. This specimen is a from a pocket found about 3 years ago. I remember when the pieces came to Tucson, most collectors and dealers grabbed them as fast as possible. Please note there are a few small contacts around the periphery, but the piece is still in good shape. If youre a Zeolite collector, this is definitely one for you. If youre not a Zeolite collector, this is still a highly displayable, colorful, large cabinet specimen. 18.5 x 10.3 x 7.5cm
There has recently been some new finds of the relatively rare Zeolite species Thomsonite in India. Most people are probably familiar with the rather smooth spheres that came on the black basalt matrix last year. This is a great association specimen from the same locality featuring a great, large sphere of Thomsonite measuring 3.2 cm sitting on half of a "bow tie" of lustrous, pink Stilbite. A beautiful association piece of one of the rarer Zeolite species out there. 7.3 x 4.4 x 3.2cm
A whopper plate of GEMMY apophyllite crystals to 3.5 cm, on a bed of sparkly stilbite microcrystals and a few larger stilbite "books". 22.1 x 19.1 x 8.6cm
In this basaltic vug are some of the deepest, emerald green, gemmy, fluorapophyllite crystals, exhibiting great luster, I have yet seen from India. These crystals which get lighter in color near their basal pinacoidal terminations, reach 6 cm in length. Associated with the emerald green fluorapophyllite crystals are several doubly terminated, white, stilbite crystals, to almost 5 cm across, which exhibit an incredible pearly luster. I am constantly amazed at the volume and quality of minerals still produced by India. However, within that volume, some finds just stand out as unique and collectible at a level far above the crowd. Material from this pocket, more of which will come below, exemplifies the idea that cherrypicking a large contemporary production from a locality can give you a unique collection that really stands out from the crowd, if you pick the novel pieces rather than just more of the same. This piece REALLY fits that bill, as being special. It is somewhat better in person, I think, as the darkness in the interior diminishes the photo. 13 x 8.2 x 6.2 cm
This specimen is simply a great combo piece! Calcite is VERY rare from this quarry, and seldom associated with cavansite even when found. This piece shows off a huge, pseudo cubic, golden-colored, calcite crystal with a wonderful and sparkly luster, perched on a contrasting stilbite matrix. Above and to the right of the calcite is an aesthetic cluster of deep royal blue cavansite, which emits a bright luster. The overall specimen has a wonderful sculptural feel. The calcite crystal, which measures 6 cm across, also has the additional perks of darker edges and, internally, one can see a rainbow effect come out in good lighting. The main cavansite group is 3cm across. The color contrasts in this piece are spectacular! The combination is rare. And the association is aesthetically made...just a very unique piece, overall! 15 x 12.3 x 9.2 cm
