Incredibly bright and gemmy crystals, square with flat terminations, growing in two directions from the center, set on a base of pretty accenting stilbites. You’d be hard pressed to find a much better miniature of apophyllite – the form and balance are exquisite, and the piece is perfectly trimmed. EXCEPTIONAL apophyllite specimens such as this are still highly valued and should not be underestimated just because there is a large supply of mediocre Indian stuff out there. These came out of a small find hit during a rural well dig, some years ago, and are now vanished from the market. 4.7 x 4.5 x 3.8 cm
A spectacularly pretty combo specimen featuring a 5-cm bowtie of apophyllite crystals embedded amongst pearly, lustrous stilbites. The whole assemblage sits on the barest amount of matrix. Very 3-dimensional and sculptural rather than flat. Beautiful! 6 x 5.2 x 5.1 cm
A DRAMATIC and AESTHETIC CABINET spray of lustrous, salmon-pink stilbite crystal with a scattering of apophyllite crystals from Jalgaon, India. Ex Steve Neely Collection #581, so you know that this is a VERY GOOD one. 10.4 x 5.5 x 5.5 cm
A beautiful and aesthetic specimen of a lustrous, 2.5 cm, royal-blue hemisphere of cavansite blades nicely set on sparkly, transparent stilbite blades on basalt matrix from India. The slight color contrast of the cavansite adds character. 4.4 x 3.9 x 2.2 cm
This is one of the better pieces from a very small find in India this year, one pocket I believe, from which we bought the lion''s share of pieces, and certainly the best of them. The salmon-colored stilbite bowties contrast beautifully with the dove-gray stalactitic quartz. 6.1 x 4.9 x 2.1 cm
A large, dramatic lacework of exotic GREEN stilbite bowties, intricately intergrown to form this eye-stopping, sculptural specimen! Can be displayed from either side - it is a giant floater cluster and there is no matrix. Just look at this amazing thing! 13 x 10.3 x 8.4 cm
An aesthetic and showy cluster of lustrous, peach-colored stilbite crystals on a bit of matrix from Jalgaon, India. Choice material from the Lewadny Collection. 8.0 x 5.3 x 4.8 cm
Lustrous, salmon-pink stilbite blades to 3.5 cm aesthetically set in drusy, gray chalcedony stalactites on this showy CABINET specimen from Jalgaon, India. All of the major chalcedony stalactites are pristine. Ex Marty Lewadny Collection of Winnipeg, Canada. 10.3 x 4.5 x 4.2 cm
A very gemmy, pristine, four-sided green apophyllite pyramid crystal studded with lustrous stilbite blades. This is fine, old material, seldom seen today from Lonavala and came from the dealer stock of Dr. Gary Hansen. 3.3 x 3.0 x 2.8 cm
A REALLY CUTE large miniature from the Marty Zinn Collection of a lustrous, translucent, 2.1 cm spray of light peach-colored stilbite on soft-to-the-touch, felt-like, snow-white okenite. This is older material from the Zinn Collection - #1160. 5.5 x 4.2 x 2.5 cm
An aesthetic, undamaged specimen of a bladed, 3.0 cm, royal-blue cavansite crystal cluster dotted with tiny stilbite blades on stilbite matrix from the Wagholi Quarry of India. A superb rosette of cavansite, overarching the matrix and decorated with small snowy sparkles of secondary stilbite. 6.5 x 4.5 x 3.8 cm
A 3.5 cm crystal perched on a shard of feldspar, with a rich drapery of STILBITE on the backside and comign a bit over onto the front. VERY CUTE mini with great contrast! The lower termination is broken and rehealed. 6 x 3 x 2 cm
A BIG, gemmy, sharp apophyllite crystal sits like a jewel surrounded by light creamy-to-pink sheaves of stilbite. A slightly green apophyllite of a different habit adds an accent. A very dramatic specimen! 8.4 x 6.8 x 5.8 cm
A beautiful, ribbon-like cluster of lustrous, blue cavansite crystals aesthetically set on beige-colored stilbite on basalt matrix from the Wagholi Quarries of India. 4.5 x 3.7 x 2.1 cm
An AESTHETIC cluster of lustrous, transparent to translucent, colorless apophyllite crystals with unusual, flattened, pinacoid terminations on a bit of matrix from Jalgaon, India. The two salmon-pink stilbite blades add character to this very fine Lewadny piece. Trivial bruising to the back of the large crystal termination is out of sight. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON, as the high lustre made photography difficult. 8.3 x 5.5 x 4.9 cm
