6.2 x 4.4 x 3.2 cm. A beautiful, very aesthetic, two-toned, salmon-pink stilbite rosette from recent finds at Poonah, India. The pearlescent lustre of the stilbite blades is superb. A classic, very beautiful example of the species from this locality. Ex. Daniel Trinchillo Sr. Collection.
12.8 x 10.0 x 6.1 cm. The famous quarries around Jalgaon continue to produce a stunning variety of specimens and this is certainly a prime example. A unique column of sparkly, gem-like, smoky and colorless, drusy quartz crystals rises above the floor of the very well-prepared cabinet vug and contacts the other side of the vesicle, as basalt is still attached to the tip of the column. A 1.0 cm, gem, amber calcite rhomb attached to the side of the column is a fine accent. Lustrous, colorless stilbite blades beautifully highlight the undulating floor of the vug covered with smoky, drusy quartz with colorless, drusy quartz on the larger crystals. This is an unusual and striking Jalgaon specimen. Ex. Saller Collection of Germany.
4.8 x 3.5 x 2.8 cm. Pearlescent, doubly terminated, salmon-pink stilbite blades are beautifully attached to a column of translucent, light gray, drusy quartz crystals on this very aesthetic specimen from recent finds at Poonah, India. The drusy quartz column has an interesting, thread-like core running the length of the interior. Complete-all-around and pristine. Ex. D. Trinchillo Sr. Collection.
6.0 x 4.3 x 1.9 cm. An excellent and uncommon specimen of glassy, translucent, botryoids of intergrown, two-toned, olive-green stilbite crystals from the Malmberget iron mines in Sweden. The matrix appears to be salmon-pink feldspar. Ex. Wes Parker Collection. Rare material.
Silky, doubly-terminated stilbites piled up on the matrix, decorated with tiny, gemmy crystals of bright blue cavansite. I think these are just stunning! 4.1 x 3.4 x 3.0 cm
A SPECTACULAR LARGE-CABINET Indian specimen of stalactitic, sparkly gray drusy quartz aesthetically studded with lustrous, doubly-terminated pastel salmon-pink stilbite blades. There is also one small apophyllite crystal on this specimen. Very, very minor damage, which is hardly noticeable to this very showy piece. 18.1 x 4.2 x 3.8 cm
14.9 x 12.4 x 7.4 cm. A 6.0 x 5.5 cm cluster of glassy, blocky, color-zoned green apophyllite crystals is aesthetically placed, front and center, on the undulating cabinet-sized basalt matrix covered with pastel-green heulandite crystals and nicely accented with a scattering of pearlescent stilbite blades. The quarries around Jalgaon have produced a stunning variety of zeolite specimens and this is a large and fine example.
17.4 x 11.6 x 5.3 cm. Pearlesecent, translucent, flesh-colored stilbite crystals cover the basalt vug on this very beautiful, large cabinet specimen from recent finds at Jalgaon, India. The pretty stilbite bowtie on the right side is 5.0 cm. The quarries around Jalgaon have produced a stunning variety of zeolite specimens and this is a fine example.
15.6 x 10.5 x 10.5 cm. Mordenite is one of the rarer members of the zeolite family. It forms fine sprays of radial acicular crystal clusters that look like pin-cushions or snowballs. Here, you see a huge 8.0 cm "snowball" intergrown with another about half its size. The balls rest on cream-colored stilbites. The balls are complete-all-around and you can see the stilbite on the tops of the balls, where they contacted the roof of the vug. A dramatic, striking, sizeable and uncommon Indian specimen.
14.5 x 7.5 x7.5 cm. A dramatic, complete-all-around and pristine cabinet combination specimen from Jalgaon. A gorgeous "corsage" of pearlescent, translucent, salmon-pink stilbite rests atop a very thin sliver of drusy quartz, which is covered with a single stilbite, gemmy, sharp, bi-colored, apophyllite crystals and snow-white, acicular mordenite. This is a striking and beautiful, large Indian zeolite combination specimen.
An extraordinarily beautiful stilbite specimen, with intergrown bowtie crystals sitting on a perfect "base". The peach-colored crystals are large, lustrous, pristine. The symmetry of this specimens, and the way the stilbite stands up on the perfectly-trimmed matrix puts this nearly perfect specimen among the very top percentage of Indian stilbites I have ever seen. 8.8 x 5.7 x 4.6 cm
A drapery of stilbite, which is quite rare from the mine, coating a slender tourmaline crystal. Korpi collection. 5 x 1.9 x 1.6 cm
7 x 5 x 2.5 cm. An attractive plate of beautiful Cavansite crystals with Stilbite. The Cavansites are in flat radial growths that look like morning glories. Really, these small mineral "flowers" (from 1-2 mm) are quite spectacular aesthetically. First described in 1973, the Owyhee Dam Cavansites were the be-all and end-all until the great Indian discoveries of the late 1980's. Therefore, in addition to nice aesthetics, this piece has great historical and scientific importance. None have been collected in many years, to my knowledge. Ex. Charlie Key.
8.5 x 5.5 x 5 cm. A superb white Stilbite bowtie with excellent luster and just about perfect form. Minor contacting on the bottom was probably an attachment point. Measuring 8.7 cm across, this is a fabulous Stilbite. Impressive and aesthetic for its geometry, this also is one of the most pure white examples I have seen with unusually fine and clean coloration, and high lustre. Ex. Charlie Key.
A gorgeous, 6.5-cm-tall stilbite perched on contrasting matrix, really dramatically displayed! Complete all around! 9.5 x 8 x 3.5 cm
