5.5 x 2.1 x 1.2 cm. This cavansite cluster exhibits a rare stalactitic form and appears to be a floater, complete even at the bottom where it has crystallized around the base. The luster is vibrant, it is translucent, and exhibits a rich, teal blue color. The largest cluster is 1.5 cm across. As an added bonus, the whole piece is covered in minute, colorless stilbite crystals.

3.4 x 3.2 x 2.6 cm. This unusual specimen exhibits three generations of mineral, staring with a matrix of tan, drusy stilbite, upon which grew a cluster of royal blue cavansite measuring 1.5 cm in length. Encrusting the cavansite is a generation of colorless, gemmy calcite crystals, to .2 cm across. This latter encrustation gives the underlying cavansite a strange, candy-coating effect.

8.7 x 6.5 x 3.5 cm. This cavansite specimen has two clusters perched high on the stilbite and basaltic matrix. The cavansite is deep royal blue, has great luster, and the larger of the two measures almost 2.0 cm across. The stilbite crystals are pearlescent and reach just under 1 cm. Note the unusual freestanding and isolated cavansite crystals at base.

11.5 x 7.8 x 5.4 cm. Nestled in a vug of millimeter-sized grayish tan stilbite are several clusters of deep royal blue to turquoise blue, lustrous cavansite to 2 cm across, along with clusters of creamy stilbite to 2cm across. The association and arrangement of mineral species makes this a fine specimen.

15.0 x 13.4 x 11.0 cm. This well-prepared, large cabinet, circular basalt vesicle is spectacularly lined with glassy, gem-like, colorless apophyllite crystals with a few pink stilbite blades as a nice accent. A spectacular 4.5 cm, gem, twinned, amber calcite crystal dramatically rests on a mound of apophyllite crystals dead-center in the vug. The calcite is limpid, highly lustrous and has an unusual twinning form. This is a superb, very aesthetic, large calcite and apophyllite specimen.

12.3 x 12.0 x 6.0 cm. An impressive, very aesthetic, cabinet-sized stilbite cluster from recent finds at Jalgaon. The large, upright stilbite is imposing in its grandeur. The pearlescent, translucent crystals have lovely salmon-pink bodies with creamy terminations. Nearly pristine. This is a really fine, large stilbite from Jalgaon.

6.3 x 5.3 x 3.3 cm. Iceland is one of the great old classic locales for zeolites, and many were first found here in good crystals long before Indian zeolites came to market. This is a superb, beautiful and very aesthetic cluster of pearlescent stilbite bowties and isolated crystals from the most famous Iceland zeolite locality - Teigarhorn. The large bowtie is 5.0 cm. This pristine specimen is from the Don Boydston Collection and is accompanied by two older labels. The Filers label dates from 1949-56. Classic, old-time material and very rarely available in this quality.

13.0 x 9.0 x 6.7 cm. Striking, two-toned, very glassy and lustrous, intergrown apophyllite crystals are beautifully framed by pearlescent stilbite blades on the strangely parallel-growth, drusy quartz-covered basalt matrix on this beautiful cabinet combination specimen from recent finds at Jalgaon. The intergrown, gem-like, blocky apophyllite crystals are 3.9 x 3.2 cm. One of the stilbite blades has tiny gem apophyllites on one face. Very interesting. Classic combination material from Jalgaon.

Apophyllite-(KF), Stilbite-Ca from Gunjale, Ahmadnagar District (Ahmednagar District; Ahmed Nagar District), Maharashtra, India [db_pics/mdpics/MD-266962a.jpg]

8.4 x 6.3 x 4.8 cm. Zeolite specimens from Gunjale, Ahmednagar District, are seldom available. This is a very pretty and aesthetic combination specimen. A ball-like, radiating cluster of gemmy, prismatic, blocky, two-toned apophyllite crystals is attractively set with pearlescent, pastel-pink stilbite blades. Yellow color is unusual and there is a hint of it here. The apophyllite style reminds me of the famed "disco ball" apophyllites of 2001 from nearby Rahuri. Ex. Daniel Trinchillo Sr. Collection.
