24.1 x 14.6 x 5.0 cm. A large plate with the deepest, purest blue cavansite, completely undamaged, in clusters to nearly 4 cm. All on a dinner-plate sized matrix.
11.2 x 10.0 x 9.5 cm. A superb, cabinet apophyllite and stilbite specimen from recent finds at Jalgaon. A huge, 7.3 x 6.5 x 6.5 cm, very glassy, beautifully color-zoned apophyllite crystal is very aesthetically set amidst pearlescent, flesh-toned stilbites and smaller apophyllite crystals. The doubly terminated, vertical stilbite in the front is 5.5 cm. The smaller apophyllites look like faceted jewels.
14.8 x 10.0 x 7.5 cm. A striking, huge, cabinet stilbite bowtie from recent finds at Jalgaon, India. The giant bowtie has excellent form and the zoned, flesh color, translucent and lustre make for an outstanding specimen. The nicely accenting, partially visible sidecar crystal is also a complete bowtie. Classic, large, Indian material.
4.3 x 3.1 x 2.7 cm. The famous Prospect Park Quarry is one of the most impressive Zeolite localities in the world. This quarry has produced some amazing specimens in the last 100 years. This specimen features rare blue-grey altered crystals of Babingtonite which are associated an aesthetic pair of honey-colored Stilbite aggregates with pale golden Heulandite crystals on Quartz. The Babingtonites from this locality are very distinctive, and certainly some of the most attractive for the species from the standpoint of the unusual color. This great New Jersey locality is being filled in for a housing development (like so many of the great Trap Rock localities in this area), and pieces like this one will be never be collected again. Ex. Richard Kosnar Collection.
10.5 x 8.5 x 4.7 cm. Reddish-orange stilbite is relatively uncommon from India. Lustrous, translucent, reddish-orange crystals comprise this excellent, 3-dimensional cabinet crust from recent finds at Jalgaon. The pretty, large bowtie is 4.3 cm. A very fine example of an uncommon stilbite varietal from this noted locale.
13 x 8.2 x 6.5 cm. A magnificent combination piece consisting of a superb peach-colored fan of Stilbite resting on a rich bed of gemmy Apophyllites. The lustrous Apophyllites are classic, and range up to 2 cm in length. What makes this piece so outstanding is the unusual, and fabulous, Stilbite fan. Most great Stilbites are bowtie-shaped, but these lustrous and striated crystals have grown into a grand fan, the likes of which I have not seen very often. The fan is 6 cm across and 4 cm thick. It is both delicate in its beauty and strong in its form. Ex. Charlie Key.
18 x 13.5 x 13.2 cm. A fine example of the famous Celadonite-included Stilbite from the Nasik District of India. This specimen has the largest green "bowtie" I have seen, and crystal size ranges from the gigantic 14 cm bowtie down to delicate, curved cm-size crystals that make beautiful Heulandite ''flowers'' along the edges of the specimen. The color is excellent, as is the luster. Ex. Charlie Key.
15.9 x 13.3 x 7.5 cm. Heavily included an unusual dark-green hue by celadonite inclusions, this 3-dimensional cluster of stilbite crystals is waxy in luster with just a touch of translucence at the edges. A few crystals are doubly terminated, exhibiting the "bow tie" effect often seen in stilbite. There are also a few, smaller fan shaped crystals of heulandite which have also been included by celadonite. We started seeing these trickle out in the late 1990s but seldom have I seen so robust and large piece of this style. Weighs 1153 grams.
5.5 x 3.7 x 3.5 cm. A basaltic matrix with a pearlescent, druse of stilbite, acts as the host for two rosettes of royal blue, translucent, cavansite, to 1.3 cm across. Perched on top of the upper cavansite rosette is a transparent, light, amber colored calcite crystal, measuring .7 cm in length.
3.6 x 2.1 x 1.8 cm. This is a complete floater of deep, teal blue, lustrous, translucent cavansite, which is composed of crystal clusters to 1.3 cm across. In addition, there is a lustrous, translucent, colorless, crystal of stilbite perched on the cavansite, which measures 1.0 cm in length.
10.5 x 9.5 x 7.0 cm. A beautiful roseate cluster of sparkling, gemmy, mint-green apophyllite crystals. It is complete and pristine, set dramatically among stilbite sheaves on matrix.
13.8 x 7.4 x 6.2 cm. A fine Indian cabinet combination specimen from recent finds at Jalgaon. This striking piece is dominated by a large, 6.0 x 6.0 cm, gem-like, golden-amber calcite rhomb. The rhomb is beautifully perched on a column of pearlescent stilbite blades accented with a few green apophyllite crystals. The lower part of the calcite rhomb is transparent. The color is a very rich hue, not pale as usual for this material.
8.4 x 5.7 x 4.6 cm. This is an old-time specimen, collected at least several decades ago, of exceptionally nice stilbite from this classic trap rock quarry of New Jersey. The crystals are tan colored, translucent, and reach 5.0 cm across. This is an extremely aesthetic, large, and fine example of stilbite from the US and particularly from this locale.
7.6 x 5.5 x 4.7 cm. This specimen is typical of the best stilbites from the trap rocks of New Jersey. A huge, complete, hemispherical aggregate of translucent stilbite, measuring 7.0 cm across, is aesthetically perched on matrix. Very 3-dimensional.
8.2 x 5.7 x 3.1 cm. The apophyllite spray, which measures 5 x 4 cm, is very 3-dimensional in person. The stilbite crystals are a fine accent to this excellent specimen.
