Stilbite-Ca from Tākli, Ahmadnagar District (Ahmednagar District; Ahmed Nagar District), Maharashtra, India [db_pics/mdpics/MD-165658a.jpg]

11.5 x 7.4 x 5.5 cm. A large, luminous cluster of stilbite from India, anchored by a huge bowtie crystal 10 cm in length! The color in person is not as pale; it’s a pretty light peach color, with a pearly luster.

19.0 x 13.0 x 6.0 cm. A STRIKING and showy LARGE CABINET plate of bright blue cavansite wiggling its way across the matrix! The long, curved column of glassy, intergrown cavansite rosettes is certainly the dominating feature, but the overall plate is accentuated by the scattered, discrete cavansite rosettes and by the large field of pearlescent, stilbite blades covering one end of the plate with additional cavansite rosettes. An excellent, large cavansite specimen.

10.9 x 10.9 x 10.9 cm. A BIG specimen of incredibly striking GREEN stilbite, which gets its unique color from inclusions of celadonite! This is a huge cluster of intergrown rosettes of stacked crystals, a knob complete all the way around and sitting on just a bit of matrix underneath. A big, showy, truly unusual mineral specimen!

17.9 x 13.5 x 9.8 cm. This is a very large pocket basically sawn intact from the matrix, encasing a truly spectacular landscape of minerals. The star is a cluster of almost unbelievably bright and gemmy crystals of apophyllite. They are truly jewel-like. The apophyllites are surrounded by light peach stilbites, as well as smaller apophyllites and some calcites.

Stilbite-Ca from Shakur Quarry, Nasik District, Maharashtra, India [db_pics/mdpics/MD-167793a.jpg]

14.2 x 10.4 x 9.7 cm. Check out this BIG, STUNNING specimen of intergrown sheaves of stilbite - out of the prominent collection of Ed David. Stilbites are usually seen on matrix with other zeolites and apophyllites, or in clusters of one or two major crystals with smaller ones attached; but rarely in a large cluster such as this, with such a sculptural attractiveness to it! This is a matrix-free, floater cluster. The brownish highlights (iron oxide) add to the appeal.

6.2 x 5.1 x 3.3 cm. Isolated on a bed of stilbite crystals in the middle of the matrix are three peacock-blue balls of cavansite, complete and damage-free - but most uniquely, in three perfectly graduated sizes, side-by-side!

5.4 x 3.5 x 3 cm. A classic Apophyllite stalactite from the great Jalgaon locality in India. The gemmy Apophyllites are razor-sharp and have superb luster. The longest is 2.5 cm. The Stibite blade, doubly-terminated, has a beautiful pearly luster and is 2.6 cm long. Ex. Charlie Key.

Calcite, Stilbite-Ca from Jalgaon District, Maharashtra, India [db_pics/mdpics/MD-169745a.jpg]

11.1 x 6.5 x 4.2 cm. With all the stuff that pours out of India, I have never seen a specimen quite like this one. What you have is these really exquisite rhombs of translucent calcite with silky surfaces from tiny "cut glass" modifications on their faces - surrounded by bursts of pearly stilbites. The overall form of the specimen is just perfect, too, a curving form tilted up just right.

Calcite, Stilbite-Ca, Quartz from Jalgaon District, Maharashtra, India [db_pics/mdpics/MD-169839a.jpg]

5.6 x 4.5 x 3.7 cm. A sharp, very gemmy and glassy, beautifully striated, amber calcite rhomb nicely set on matrix and beautifully framed by pastel-pink stilbite blades on the right and botryoidal, drusy quartz on the left. A very showy combination specimen from Jalgaon. Ex. Rob Lavinsky Collection.

Apophyllite-(KF), Stilbite-Ca, Heulandite from Jalgaon District, Maharashtra, India [db_pics/mdpics/MD-171586a.jpg]

8.4 x 2.9 x 2.4 cm. This is a stunning stalactite from India. It is not only stunningly pretty, it is also really unusual. That is because amidst the super-gemmy, glassy apophyllites and peachy, pearly stilbites is a lone, sharp, opaque heulandite (usually they are an orange/peach color, so this one really stands out). In summary, you have a wonderful zeolite suite here, in addition to a really pretty mineral specimen.

13.9 x 7.9 x 5.6 cm. A spectacular and sizeable specimen of peacock-blue bursts of cavansite, isolated on a bed of contrasting stilbite. The cavansite clusters measure up to 1.5 cm across, and are scattered in an aesthetic balance across the matrix. Instead of being the usual tight balls, the cavansites actually expose individual crystals, radiating outwards from the center -- and they are actually gemmy when looked at through a loupe.

22.8 x 13.4 x 12.5 cm. A large, oval vug removed intact - with an amazing crystal display inside! Dozens of light peach-colored, shimmering stilbite crystals, and in the center, a burst of intensely bright and gemmy crystals of apophyllite, to 3 cm.

Apophyllite-(KF), Stilbite-Ca, Calcite from Pune District (Poonah District), Maharashtra, India [db_pics/mdpics/MD-171681a.jpg]

5.2 x 4.2 x 3.9 cm. As you can see, this is NOT your average Poona combo piece, which is why it found its way into the Marty Zinn collection. What makes it so unusual is that the specimen is anchored by a translucent, light golden-yellow calcite crystal, with a "Rudniy" look about it. On the calcite have formed both blocky light green apophyllites and "books" of pearly stilbite.
