This doubly terminated stibnite with mirror bright luster, is one of the best single crystals from the big find made around the year 2000. In fact, this sectile mineral, which has a slight bend near one termination, is rivaled only by the 100+ year old pieces from Japan. This one is nearly pristine, and is complete at both terminations. This is a particularly elegant example of a sharp single crystal for the find 19.8 x 1.2 x 0.4 cm
A CLASSIC, pristine and lustrous, CABINET stibnite crystal from the famous and long-closed Ichinokawa Mine of Japan. Ex Ed Ruggiero Collection, who purchased this specimen in 1975 from Pala Properties. 10.0 x 1.4 x 0.8 cm
Three stately blades of stibnite, with fine mirror-metallic luster, all finely terminated. Some minor contacts but this is still a fine piece. 11.5 x 3.9 x 2.9 cm
A beautiful, elegant stibnite specimen, a spray of shiny metallic, terminated crystals, in fine shape with only minor contact. 9.6 x 3.5 x 1.6 cm
A rare DOUBLY-TERMINATED, FLOATER stibnite crystal, with mirror-metallic luster. IN fine condition, with no dings and minute edge-wear. 12.2 x 0.9 x 0.7cm
This fascinating specimen was formed when transparent fluorite completely covered a crystal of silvery stibnite, which you can see clearly in the center of the fluorite.. FROM A ONETIME FIND OF THE LATE 1980S, THESE RARELY TURN UP ON THE MARKET TODAY! BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF A VERY RARE FLUORITE STYLE.... 4.5 x 0.5 x 0.4cm
A very showy and aesthetic CABINET specimen from China of crossed, metallic-bright stibnite crystals with a bit of matrix. Part of the horizontal crystal is curved, which really adds pazzazz to this fine piece. Chinese matrix stibnites are not that common. The vertical terminations are pristine, while the contacted left termination is not a distraction at all, as you can see. Ex Lewadny Collection. 10.0 x 7.0 x 2.4 cm
An aesthetic and beautiful specimen of highly lustrous, transparent, amber calcite rhombs to 2.3 cm on matrix with lustrous, metallic needles of stibnite to 1.6 cm. The calcite crystals have overgrown some of the stibnite needles. These combination pieces came out of a couple of Chinese mines a few years ago and no more have come since then. Highly desirable. 9.7 x 6.4 x 4.6 cm
An aesthetic, showy and complete all-around cluster of lustrous, nearly damage-free stibnite blades from a classic Romanian locality. The scattered bit of matrix adds character. This style of stibnite is seldom seen today. Ex Ed Ruggiero Collection, who purchased this piece from Chris Wright in 1974. 8.3 x 6.5 x 4.5 cm
Ex Berridge collection via the Phoenix Museum. 13.1 x 1.4 x 0.9 cm
An excellent spray of metallic-bright stibnite needles nicely dusted with micro dolomite crystals from the recent California find. 4.1 x 1.4 x 0.8 cm
So often there is damage to compromise these otherwise perfect sprays of stibnite crystals, but this specimen is virtually damage-free. It is also beautifully balanced, and features a mirror-metallic luster. Superb terminations on the crystals, too! 10.7 x 2.3 x 1.3cm
Classic specimen of tiny sharp Barite blades completely coating a blade of Stibnite. Very attractive, and not that easily obtained. In fact, I had never seen one before... 2.5 x .7 x .3 cm
From the find that produced the largest crystals of Stibnite seen in the modern era of mineral collecting !! This cabinet size piece features an incredibly large, bright, intense metallic silver color, prismatic crystal of Stibnite. There is a some minor damage to the piece, but the termination on one end is virtually damage free. 12.7 x 1.4 x 1.4cm
A very rich and impressive specimen from an extremely rare locale, with huge crystals to 3 inches, and pristine! Probably a very old piece. THis is the best Borneo stibnite I have seen for sale recently. 10.4 x 9 x 3.4 cm
