Hedgehog-looking cluster of bright stibnite crystals on matrix. Now, comapred to China these are not much to look at but for a long time this were one of the best stibnite localities in the world and this is an old classic - something to be said about that vs. a big new find. ex. Dr. Gary Hansen dealer stock and not shown since early 1980s. 10.9 x 9.1 x 3.4 cm
4.0 x 3.7 x 2.1 cm. A fine baryte and stibnite miniature from the historic mines at Cavnic, Romania. A pristine, water-clear, tabular baryte crystal supremely rests on diverging sprays of metallic-bright stibnite blades. The baryte is literally impaled by and is included with stibnites.

On one side the crystals are highly lustrous, striated and are iridescent, while on the reverse side the blades have a matte finish. And the two major crystals have striking, pointed terminations. Classic, older material. Ex. Jaime Bird Collection.
