6.6 x 3.8 x 2.1 cm. Eye-visible, large-for-species, GEMMY, crystals of sklodowskite perched on contrasting matrix of gypsum. Crystals are 2-4 mm in size with a bright neon yellow color. Ex. Martin Zinn Collection.
11 x 5 x 4 cm. A fine combination piece of green Torbernite crystals associated with typical green Cuprosklodowskite tufts and yellow Sklodowskite aggregates. The Torbernite crystals looks dark green but on close examination, one can see that they are covered with thousands of doubly-terminated Vandenbrandeite crystals. Some of them are also implanted in the Cuprosklodowskite tufts. The Torbernite crystals reaches 6 mm on edge. The Vandenbrandeite crystals are in the 1-2 mm range but very sharp.
An excellent and aesthetic specimen of bright, canary-yellow needle sprays of sklodowskite needles nicely set in an artistic vug of sparkly, off-white quartz from Santa Eulalia, Mexico. 3.0 x 2.7 x 2.3 cm
ex. Martin Zinn
This piece is VERY fine in that it has eye-visible, large-for-species, GEMMY, crystals of sklodowsite perched on contrasting matrix of gypsum. It looks like lemon-yellow candy on sugar, to the eyes. Crystals are 2-4 mmin size, and are just literally so bright neon yellow, it is hard to see them for the glare of the color reflecting back. This is, for quality, the best example I have ever seen from the locale by an order of magnitude...usually they are just boring micros.
