6.2 x 3.1 x 2.4 cm. This is a beautiful specimen. Where the core of calcite is exposed, it is surrounded by a nest of brilliant luster, spinel twins of silver, to .75 cm in length. The delicacy of the crystals is mesmerizing. The other sides of the specimen have a black and white effect of silver crystals and matte black acanthite crystals to 2mm across.

4.5 x 3.2 x 2.5 cm. Like vines growing up and enmeshing the massive, white calcite, are spinel twinned silver crystals to 1.5 cm in length. This specimen has amazingly long spinel twins. Most of the crystals are covered with matte black micro-crystals of acanthite, which gives color contrast. This is a very aesthetic, lively looking piece that seems unusually aesthetic for this find and very reminiscent of old 1960s-1970s Batopilas material from Mexico.

Silver from Gunnison Co., Colorado, USA [db_pics/mdpics/MD-221302a.jpg]

2.2 x 1.6 x 0.7 cm. This specimen came labeled as only being from "Gunnison", and wire Silver has been reported from Gunnison as far back as the 1800's, so it is certainly likely that this is genuine. This slender, curving wire has an attractive form. Ex. Jaime Bird Collection.

Silver, Copper from Keweenaw Co., Michigan, USA [db_pics/mdpics/MD-223821a.jpg]

2.0 x 0.8 x 0.2 cm. A very fine, classic and sculptural Copper Country "half-breed" with distinct silver and copper components. This old-time specimen looks like a stylized boot and is from the John Saul Collection. The silver is bright and the copper has a nice patina. It is uncommon to have such richness and separation in silver in Michigan half-breeds.

4.4 x 2.9 x 1.1 cm. An old-time, fine, Kongsberg silver and calcite specimen. Nicely burnished silver wires hold together and are impaled in several shards of veined massive calcite. 3.2 x 2.6 x 2.4 cm. Sharp cubic crystals of silver are decidedly uncommon, almost never seen in nature in macro sized specimens, for the collector. This piece features a number of crude crystals on which perch a sharp, well-developed, 6mm cubic silver crystal. This specimen is an old piece, and comes from the well-known Eric Asselborn collection.
