1.7 x 1.5 x 0.6 cm. An OLD-TIME, very showy thumbnail specimen of a solid cluster of ramshorn silver wires from the famous Molly Gibson Mine at Aspen! The capping, curling wires are really neat. Preserved wire silver from any Aspen mine is RARE and this is fine quality. Aspen was remote and this piece probably dates to before 1900! The patina adds a nice accent. Choice material from the Richard Hauck Collection.

4.5 x 3.6 x 2.7 cm. A fine specimen of thick curled silver ropes in quartz-rich matrix from the famous Uchucchacua Mine of Peru. The thick silver wires, with nice patina, reach 6 mm wide! E.x Ed David Collection.

6.3 x 4.8 x 4 cm. The upper portion of the specimen is a 4.2 cm open Calcite pocket interlaced with beautiful thick Silver ropes. These wires are several mm thick, up to 2 cm long as they curve, and have a gorgeous patina. For accent, there are even gemmy Calcites growing on the wires. Ex. Chicago Field Museum and Dan Ehrling collections.

4.1 x 3.0 x 2.8 cm. A very elegant miniature, of swirling, robust silver wires up to 3.5 mm wide and 3 cm long, with a bit of calcite matrix attached. This is an outstanding miniature example from the find (early 2000s). Ex. Ed David Collection (Ed was a director of the White House Office of Science and Technology and a former science advisor to President Nixon).

6.7 x 6.5 x 3.0 cm. Exquisite filigrees of beautifully burnished, herringbone-patterned, spinel-twinned silver crystals very richly cover the greenstone matrix plate on this outstanding specimen from the famous El Bonanza Mine at Port Radium, Northwest Territories, Canada. I am told these were found over 50 years ago, and I have seldom seen them available. The very dense spinel-twins are in a 1.3 cm thick vein of solid silver.

3.3 x 2.7 x 1.6 cm. A fine specimen of silver wires with two, lustrous, translucent calcite rhombs from the famous mines at Kongsberg, Norway. The wires have excellent form and patina and the calcite rhombs are beautifully placed on the curled, curved and twisted wires. Ex. Willard "Perky" Perkin and Roland and Kathy Sherman Collections.

7.4 x 4.5 x 3.2 cm. A block of solid, very aesthetic, herringboned-patterned, spinel-twinned silver crystals from the rich silver mines at Cobalt, Ontario. All sides of this super-rich fragment of a vein of silver ore are covered with intricate patterns of spinel-twins. Very hefty at 232 grams or 8.1 ounces. Ex.George Elling Collection.

This specimen features a multitude of beautifully burnished, aesthetically placed, curved and curled silver wires and thick silver ropes in a large vug in massive, solid acanthite. 4.9 x 3.3 x 1.6 cm. A superb, incredibly well-crystallized and very aesthetic silver-copper half-breed from the famous Copper Country of Michigan. This beautiful, arborescent specimen is a super combination of fan-like, silver crystals, flattened copper crystals and a delicate latticework of copper microcrystals. Both the silver and copper have a nice patina and a bit of green epidote is a nice compliment. Ex. John Ydren Collection, who according to his card purchased this exquisite old-timer from dealer Brad van Scriver in 1964.
