From Carlos Barbosa's Personal Collection, comes this huge, gemmy, complete-all-around crystal of the extremely rare phosphate sellaite. I know it looks like a blobby white rock in the pics, but it "is what is is" and is also somewhat more visually appealing in person I can assure you. Extremely significant and hard to find, in such size! 4.2 x 2.4 x 2 cm

Named for the 19th. century Italian mining engineer, Quintino Sella, this rare magnesium fluoride reaches its zenith at Brumado - but specimens are VERY rare and good ones from just a few pockets. This is a large, complex crystal which exhibits incredible clarity and glassy luster . BETTER IN PERSON! It is shockingly and totally colorless - not even a trace of hue. Also a floater. Zinn purchased this in 1992. All Content and Design ©1996-2012 The ArkenstonePowered by http://mineralwebsites.comMineral Specimens by species; or by specimen id. | ||||||||
