Scapolite from Tanzania has a unique, beautiful golden color AND excellent crystal form which is so absent in other golden-colored scapolites from Brazil. Rarely, they also occur in this large size. This impressive gem crystal is totally transparent and is hefty at 77 grams. It is lustrous, and has a rich amber-yellow color that is consistent throughout the crystal. It is complete all around except only some part of the backside (out of sight). Comes with custom base.

8.9 x 6.3 x 5.0 cm. A stunningly rich specimen of GEM PURPLE SCAPOLITE crystals from the amazing find in Afghanistan. Most of these you have seen have probably been single crystals, and not on matrix. There are dozens of crystals here, and many fine ones are grouped together in one area. They are absolutely pristine, lustrous and terminated gem crystals. The matrix has been sawn on the bottom to remove the specimen. The crystals measure to one centimeter in length.
