ex. Charlie Key
A dark purple cluster of stunning , transparent, gemmy amethysts perched against one another in a flower-like cluster. This lovely group has a micro-chalcedony crust which adds interesting texture to som efaces, highlighting the lustre and purple hue of the others all the more. Better in person, and complete all around!

This a great matrix specimen of extremely rare character and quality for the region! It is extremely difficult to obtain these due to the hard rock where they are found. There is a beautiful contrast between the rich purple amethyst on the white and black matrix. The crystals, to 4.5 cm, sit smugly in the middle, as if in a canoe, of a shallow cavity lined with calcite. The middle crystal is loose, wiggling a little on the matrix, but held in tight place by the two flanking crystals and so is not in need of repair or fixing...its interesting, actually, I think. For overall aesthetics, size, and quality (the amethysts are pristine and complete all around save for a contact on the back side only), this is hard to beat!

Here is your chance to own a fabulous gem quartz with a smoky phantom. This specimen has been repaired to a sawn base, but was replaced as it originally grew. If you do not like the base it would be easy to remove the crystal and have one of the best smoky phantom singles in the collection...still worth the $300 on its own merit. But, we left it on, as Charlie did, for the overall impact.

A giant single crystal with mesmerizing complexity inside of it! The tip has a wonderful clay inclusion which filled the once-skeletal growth of this crystal, and then was itself covered over by a layer of clear quartz deposition. Has to be seen in person to be appreciated...its a fine line between "internally interesting" and "busy and ugly," I admit, but this one is definitely on the more interesting side! NOTE THE SIZE....almost 6 inches long!
ex. Charlie Key
A dramatic, complex, massive smoky quartz with glassy luster and a hint of amethyst on select faces of . This monster shows skeletal and hopper growth, and is much more dramatic in person. It is very 3-dimensional and complete all around!
ex. Charlie Key
A rich specimen with Beautiful neon-orange fiery crystals of kasolite easily eye-visible! There are small yellow crystals associated, probably Guillemanite.
ex. Charlie Key
A splayed group of 3 dark amethyst crystals crossing one another at their intersection, unusual for the locality! Few clusters have come from here, compared to isolated singles...the deposit is just that way. This is a FLOATER, complete all around - all crystals being doubly-terminated! .
ex. Charlie Key
This is a brilliant, lovely quartz with amethyst and smoky phantoms that just "dance" when lit well. It will be hard to beat this specimen for quality and luster in this price range.
ex. Charlie Key
A rare habit from the Gobobos, a "shard" style tabular, thin crystal with bizarre form. Complete all around save contact on bottom. This piece has a smoky tip on top and just a hint of amethyst on the bottom
ex. Charlie Key
Beautiful neon-yellow crystals of this rare species, from a locality I was not aware that it came from. I am sure this is very rare....i certainly haven't seen it for sale. This specimen is covered with a laquer to preserve the crystals .
ex. Charlie Key
This specimen is a very nice cluster of 3-dimensional, fat amethyst crystals. What makes this one so unusual is the dark amethyst runs right up the center of each crystal. A very attractive specimen! It is a floater save for the smallest attachment point at the bottom tip.
ex. Charlie Key
Eye visible sub-mm crystals of soddyite, which is very rare , especially so nicely isolated on matrix as this cluster is.
ex. Charlie Key
A magnificent example of scepter growth from the Brandberg mountains. This would be a $3500 specimen if it didn’t have jsut that darned small chip on one of the side faces of the termination to the right as shown. It is not visible from the viewing side , so the crystal is truly impressive for the price, if you can live with a ding on the far side. Visually, this is incredible...you seldom see such intense purple amethyst from here, let alone as a sceptre!
ex. Charlie Key
This remarkable specimen clearly shows embedded crystals of green Cuprosklodowskite altering to Uranophane , yellow and altered by the time it reaches the protected shallow cavity in the center of the piece. Most unusual!

This is a VERY rich and colorful specimen with good coverage of this rarity. I have only ever had 2 Metatyuyamunite specimens in the past , and this is a large and pretty one. ID'd by Bill Pinch
