These apophyllites from this small new find of which I bought nearly all, are frosted on the surface with a sparkly druse of microcrystalline quartz. They exhibit a wonderful and unique Blue-green hue and sit nicely on contrasting quartz and 2.5 cm white, lustrous stilbite crystals. BEST OF POCKET!

PREMU-J4D02 - Apophyllite on Quartz - SOLD
2nd Sovietsky Mine, Dalnegorsk, Primorskiy Kray, Russia

small cabinet, 8.5 x 7.5 x 7 cm
share specimen

Sorry, we have no images of this specimen at present.

This is a 3-D, complete cluster of quartz crystals covered all over with sparkly apophyllite crystals that makes it shimmer like you poured sugar over it! Really pretty! Mined this year in Dalnegorsk.

PREMU-J4D07 - Fluorite on Quartz - SOLD
Nikolaevsky Mine, Dalnegorsk, Russia

small cabinet, 7 x 5.5 x 5.1 cm
share specimen

Sorry, we have no images of this specimen at present.

A very unusual and beautiful Dalnegorsk fluorite from a find in 2004 the the Nikolaevsky! These glowing, silky, LAVENDER crystals measure up to 3.5 cm. I have never seen fluorite of precisely this color and style form the location before, and the pleasant lavender hue makes an unusually standout addition to any Dalnegorsk collection, I'd think

PREMU-J4D26 - Fluorite with Quartz ps. after Barite - SOLD
Xianghualing Mine, Linwu, Hunan Province, China

cabinet, 11 x 8.5 x 6.5 cm
share specimen

Sorry, we have no images of this specimen at present.

This specimen is distinguished for TWO reasons: one, the quality of the gemmy, large fluorite that caps it; and two, the wonderful pseudomorph crystal opposite it atop the specimen. The fluorite (a compound crystal) is over 3 cm on edge, very gemmy, with wonderful bright green color. The pseudomorph features small white quartz crystals which have retained the sharp form of the large barite crystal.

This is a massively large, and yet aesthetic, specimen of scheelite from the classic old locality of this tin mine. Scheelite from this location is highly desirable for its rarity and size, and yet extremely uncommon on the market today. It is probably 50 years or more out of the ground. The specimen features a single huge scheelite with attached quartz, purple fluorite clusters, and a small gem green fluorite cube at the lower-right. Most of these are so clunky and ugly, you don't think of them as display calibre, as opposed to "interesting reference pieces." This , though, is a notable exception and proven by the fact that Steve purchased it long ago...he collects classics only when they are as aesthetic as you could ask for, and remain in good shape. It has excellent display "horizons" and shows dramatically. The front and sides are pristine, the back contacted flatly where it had been growing against matrix in the past. It is hands down the best such example I have ever had for sale, and I have not marked it up from our trade price so I think it is a real bargain for the significance of what it is.

This piece features a soaring crescent of exceptionally good rose quartz crystals arranged vertically and sprayig off of a smoky quartz shard, smothering the top of it and reaching out above. Words and pictures do not convey how brilliantly lustrous and richly flamingo-pink this specimen really is, in person! There is no damage to the display face, and only a few small contacts at either end of the piece. It is large, at just over 4 inches, to have such consistent quality ! No pastel hue, this. It is as deep pink as rose quartz can get.

A flower shaped cluster of gorgeous rose quartz crystals, with intense brilliance and lustre! No pastel hue, this. It is as deep pink as rose quartz can get . This is, for my taste, the best new find of Rose Quartz I have seen since reading about the old finds of the late 1960s in books. For modern production, its nearly unprecedented and I hope bodes well for more to come out.

A really remarkable speicmen! Most rose quartzes from this locality are pale, elongated crystals of quite different habit than we see from tacqueral and other localities. This is no exception - it is a pale pastel pink hue and strangely elongated. Its just on steroids! It is also doubly-terminated! The aesthetics are very nice, as it is perched smartly on a very nicely balanced rhombic shard of feldspar. I think this is among the more significant (for crystal quality and size) of rose quartz specimens, if not among the most expensive or the most pink

A beautiful , rolling, 3-dimensional specimen featuring botryoidal quartz balls to 2 cm. It is complete all around as shown, nearly a floater except for a small contact on the bottom only. The crystal balls are translucent, sparkling and lustrous, and a rich shade of lavender-purple color presumably due to manganese. More sparkly, in person!

This is the largest fine specimen we obtained, and it looks like some crazy mushroomy forest of weird growth, perched atop calcite and manganese-rich gangue matrix. It is a very aesthetic, sparkling , 3-dimensional specimen that the photos simply cannot do justice to. It is complete all around. The crystal balls are translucent, sparkling and lustrous, and a rich shade of lavender-purple color presumably due to manganese. More sparkly, in person!
