A beautiful specimen of quartz stalactites on a matrix of sparkly crystalline quartz. New from Morocco, and rather rare on the market! 7.0 x 5.9 x 5.4 cm
A DRAMATIC Tsumeb CABINET specimen. A large, sharp, 3.5 cm, matte-finish, black, tetragonal tennantite crystal dominates a vug filled with contrasting transparent quartz crystals on matrix. One corner of the tennanite crystal is partially melted. A fine, large Tsumeb specimen. Ex Paul Lazar Collection. 11.5 x 11.0 x 8.0 cm
A HUGE, 6.2 x 2.6 cm, translucent, light honey fluorite ball on quartz matrix from the recent finds at the Mahodari Quarry in India. This fluorite looks like a large egg-yolk and is one of the largest fluorite balls from this locality, that I have seen. Botryoidal fluorite is known from only a few locations in the world, this one having produced the best yet seen. 8.3 x 7.5 x 4.4 cm
A SHOWY and UNUSUAL Colorado specimen of hematite pseudomorphs after microcline on a lustrous, smoky quartz crystal. The smoky tip is nearly transparent and trivial bruising on the back of the smoky tip is certainly not detracting. This piece is from a respected West Coast private collection. 8.2 x 3.7 x 3.5 cm
A SHOWY, AESTHETIC and UNUSUAL Mexican specimen of HOLLOW, sparkly, rust-brown siderite psuedomorphs after doubly terminated calcite crystals on a mound of lustrous, tinted quartz crystals. The longest pseudo is 5.1 cm. This fine, undamaged piece is from the famous La Sirena Mine at Guanajuato. 7.3 x 6.1 x 4.4 cm
A large, showy, STUNNING specimen of super-sparkly amethyst that has pseudomorphed the earlier crystals of calcite, forming a hollow "cast" of the calcites. You can see underneath the specimen that the calcites are hollowed out, and tap on the big, striking hexagonal crystal (10 CM ACROSS!) and you will hear that it is hollow as well! Beautiful! This is an exceptional piece for the sort. 15.2 x 9.8 x 8.8 cm
A gorgeous fanned "flower" of amethyst crystals from Brazil, out of the collection of Bruce Carter. Great aesthetics on this one! Most are boring in comparison. Also, it is a good size for a collector, while many are too big. 12.4 x 7.4 x 3.1 cm
Fine, deep "Blanchard Blue" crystals of fluorite to 1.3 cm on beautifully contrasting quartz! (A little less blue in person - darker and a little more "gray-blue" as is characteristic for the Blanchard; the camera has a hard time with this color). Damage is minor, especially in the main display area. 12.4 x 7.3 x 5.2 cm
An aesthetic and showy toenail cluster of lustrous, orange quartz crystals on matrix. These unique orange quartz clusters are from the famous Nikolaevskiy Mine at Dalnegorsk, Russia and are not often available on the market. Ex Irv Brown Collection. These were from a few small pockets of several years ago and for quality this is one of the best thumbnails I have seen. 2.8 x 1.6 x 1.3 cm
An excellent and showy combination specimen of lustrous, dark blue lazulite crystals with transparent, water-clear quartz crystals from the famous Rapid Creek Area of Canada. Super example of this classic material , for the contrasting quartz here 7.5 x 4.5 x 2.6 cm
An aesthetic and beautiful CABINET plate of lustrous, translucent, light honey to tan, fluorite spheroids to 1.4 cm on nicely contrasting blue-gray chalcedony from the ONE-TIME find a few years ago at the Mahodari Quarry in India. This piece has been beautifully prepared with the largest fluorite centrally located on the matrix. The rolling topography of the chalcedony really adds character. This is a very rich example - rarely do you see so many balls clustered together. Botryoidal fluorite is known from only a few locations in the world, this one having produced the best yet seen. 10.5 x 9.0 x 4.7 cm
A STRIKING and DRAMATIC CABINET plate of two generations of lustrous, water-clear quartz crystals growing on black, sphalerite crystals from the Taxco, Mexico. The longest quartz crystal is 3.0 cm and the 2nd generation porcupine quartz needle clusters are really attractive. Very minor damage, overall, for such a large specimen. A cloth label is affixed to the back of the specimen. 14.3 x 6.8 x 5.2 cm
An EXQUISITE toenail of a highly lustrous, wafer-thin, 2.5 cm, clove-brown brookite crystal beautifully surrounded by transparent quartz crystals from recent finds in the Kharan Mountains of Pakistan. Jus tsuperb for association and aesthetics!!! 3.1 x 2.5 x 2.2 cm
A glowing 2-cm calcite sits right stop a pie of starburst blooms of gemmy quartz! A beauty from Dalnegorsk! 11.2 x 7.1 x 6.6 cm
You could hardly ask for a more dramatic example of the strange and pretty, translucent, perfectly spherical Nasik fluorites than this one -- as the fluorites (five of them) sit in a large vug of sparkly, dove-grey quartz crystals! The fluorite on the lip of the vug has a shallow bruise, but the others are pristine. A big, showy and wonderfully impressive mineral specimen! This is one of the nicest large fluorites of such style we have seen. Just came in from India. 17.2 x 13.1 x 12.4 cm
