A VERY AESTHETIC, gemmy and lustrous, green datolite crystal with two quartz needle "horns". Choice material from the Lewadny Collection. Superb miniature! 5.0 x 3.6 x 2.5 cm
A beautiful and aesthetic specimen of gemmy and lustrous, cherry-red spessartine garnets to 1.1 cm and glassy, smoky quartz crystals very nicely placed on albite matrix from the Tongbei Area of China. A couple of trivial edge bruises on the garnet crystals are barely noticeable. The base is sawed to enhance display. VERY CHOICE material from the Lewadny Collection. 9.3 x 6.3 x 3.6 cm
An excellent and showy Peru combination piece of modified, pink manganocalcite rhombs flanking a ridge of lustrous, translucent, gray quartz crystals and scattered sulfides. Ex Marty Lewadny Collection of Winnipeg, Canada. 7.2 x 5.5 x 3.7 cm
A STUNNING cluster of gemmy amethyst crystals with a mirror-like lustre. These stunning amethysts were recently produced out of a pegmatite that has produced on and off for decades, though in a spectacular find of Chritsmas 2004, it produced the best pockets yet - exceptional , colorful crystals with glassy lustre and large size. These are arguably the finest North American amethysts. This one is gorgeous - BETTER IN PERSON. 6.7 x 6.5 x 6.2 cm
A light blue fluorite crystal with blushes of purple , with two gemmy quartz crystals, and associated clusters of greenish translucent muscovite. Pretty combo piece! 5.9 x 4 x 3.8 cm
A fabulous, dramatic scepter crystal of amethyst - the pics show the quality pretty well - very sharp and no damage, a real smoker! 4.6 x 2.6 x 2.4 cm
Two beautiful, interconnected and pristine blue quartz coating chrysocolla stalactites from the famous Ray Mine of Arizona. This piece is EXCEPTIONAL, in that, it is nearly complete all-around. We have not offered one like it at auction. 4.2 x 2.7 x 1.5 cm
A DRAMATIC, pristine CABINET specimen of lustrous, clay-included quartz crystals with tiny epidote crystals at the base. This very showy piece was a one-of-a-kind from the recent Pakistan lot that we acquired. 12.7 x 12.5 x 6.6 cm
A big show-stopper of an Eastern European combo specimen with a slightly reddish cast. A very eye-catching Large Cabinet specimen! 17.4 x 14.2 x 10.7 cm
A specimen of robins-egg blue chrysocolla included in quartz, giving the specimen almost the appearance of smithsonite - from the classic Zacatecas locality. Very unique! And….extremely colorful! 4.7 x 5.2 x 3.3 cm
Unusually gemmy quartz crystals rising from a matrix decorated with deep green crystals of epidote, from the exciting recent finds in China. One of the quartzes is dinged but this is a minor detraction on such a pretty specimen. 6.6 x 5.8 x 5.1 cm
An excellent and showy specimen of gemmy and lustrous, olive-green andradite garnets crystals aesthetically clustered on lustrous, unusually tabular quartz crystals from Dalnegorsk, Russia. The contacted quartz crystal termination certainly does not detract from the beauty of this fine piece. UNUSUAL FOR THE LOCALITY! 6.8 x 4.8 x 3.7 cm
A VERY SHOWY CABINET cluster of lustrous, transparent, doubly terminated quartz crystals from the Mundo Nuevo Mine of Peru. This fine piece is very nearly pristine, having only one, very small broken crystal and a couple of super-trivial termination bruises. Choice material from the Lewadny Collection. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON, as the transparency and lustre made photography difficult. 10.8 x 8.2 x 5.4 cm
A DROP-DEAD GORGEOUS toenail of lustrous, purple fluorite cubes encircling a doubly terminated quartz crystal from the famous Yaogangxian Mine of China. The tiny quartz needles add character to this beauty. The attachment is on the back of one of the fluorite crystals, which is barely noticeable. 3.1 x 2.3 x 1.2 cm
A cluster of tall quartz crystals rises elegantly above a matrix of smaller crystals, with associated sphalerite. A pretty layer of little calcites covers the smaller quartz crystals in the foreground, and the backs of the tall quartzes. 6.2 x 5.2 x 6.7 cm
