WOW ! A hematite included quartz crystal with smoky color has been overgrown by a limpid, sharply crystallized quartz crystal allowing the viewer to see a classicly formed, distinct phantom. This specimen would be a true competition quality thumbnail/small miniature. It is the cleanest, sharpest, gemmiest little phantom I've seen. From anywhere, I think. Its just mesmerizing. Expensive, but gram for gram the best rock in this update...

This cluster of mostly sceptered quatz crystals is highlighted by the largest scepter, measuring almost 5.0 cm in length, rising aesthetically above the rest. Pristine save for the slightest little ding atop. The stems are colorless and the terminations are glassy and gemmy with a rich orange color created by hematite inclusions.

The amazing and sharp feature of this cluster of lustrous and translucent, hematite included, orange colored quartz, is the large crystal, 7.0 cm in length, that exhibits s distinct "bend". Some mineral species are famous for bent crystals, for example stibnite and elbaite. However, this may be the very first "bent" quartz crystal I have seen from this locale at least.

A remarkable, floater specimen with no visible points of attachment, the large crystal is doubly-terminated with one end being colorless, glassy and gemmy and the other end being glassy and hematite included. This 7.0 cm in length crystal is wreathed by a halo of smaller quartz crystals. This is clearly one of my personal favorites in this update.

Framed by three smaller crystals is a magnificent, 11.8 cm tall, sceptered quartz crystal. A colorless stem leads to a huge, lustrous and translucent, rich lavender colored termination with smoky colored overtones. There is even a coating of brown hematite on some of the terminal faces.
ex. Charlie Key
Exhibiting parallel growth, this cluster of quartz crystals, to 7.5 cm in length, is on a feldspar, quartz matrix. The crystals are glassy and gemmy and all the crystals are invested with brown colored, hematite includions. I particularly like the way the terminal faces are more deeply colored than the prisms.

Perched aesthetically on a quartz, feldspar matrix is a doubly-terminated sceptered quartz crystal, 7.0 cm in length. The stem is colorless and gemmy and the termination is lustrous and translucent, with a combination of lavender colored amethyst and brown, hematite inclusions.Dramatic!
ex. Charlie Key
A single, colorless and translucent stem is completed by a very rare, double headed termination. The terminations are glassy, gemmy with color centers of amethyst and hematite inclusions, resulting in a rich chocolate/ lavender color combo. IN person, it is MORE 3-D than it appears. Complete all around except for a tiny ding on one back tip edge. Dramatic and vibrant!
ex. Charlie Key
The stem of this sceptered quartz crystal is colorless andlustrous with a surface coating of hematite. The termination is glassy and translucent and exhibits a rich purple, amethyst color. A Beautiful, fat amethyst scepter !
ex. Charlie Key
This divergent spray of glassy and gemmy, hematite included quartz crystals, is attractive partially because of the color and partially because of the crescent form. The largest crystal is 4.0 cm in length.
ex. Charlie Key
Almost every crystal in this cluster is sceptered. Colorless stems lead to lustrous and translucent, brown, hematite included, terminations. The largest crystal measures 8.0 cm in length with a hint of amethyst color. Also, several crystal tips exhibit phantoms. VERY 3-dimensional piece with several display angles!
ex. Charlie Key
This is perhaps the rarest color here...Exquisitely colored a rich citrine, burnt yellow color, this matrix specimen of prismatic, nearly equant, quartz crystals is very impactful. They are glassy, and translucent, with the largest crystal reaching 3.5 cm in length. A few crystal heads are minorly damaged but the overall effect of these deeply colored crystals makes these few flaws of little or no significance.
ex. Charlie Key
Clearly defined lines delineate the change in chemistry that separate colorless stems from glassy and gemmy hematite included terminations in these two quartz crystals exhibiting parallel growth. Each crystal has a well defined, superb phantom.
ex. Charlie Key
The highlight of this two crystal quartz specimen is the incredible phantom of dark gray chlorite inside the colorless termination. The crystal measures 3.0 cm in length. Unusual!
ex. Charlie Key
Superbly colored reddish-brown by hematite inclusions, this glassy and gemmy quartz crystal is also doubly-terminated .
