MCW5 - Serandite w/ Polylithionite - $ 145 SOLD
Mont St. Hilaire, Quebec, Canada
thumbnail, 2.5 x 2.3 x 1.9 cm

Sorry, we have no images of this specimen at present.

A very cute specimen with an unusually sheen to the serandite, somewhat shimmery in appearance. The poly makes a nice accent! Ex Marcelle and Charles Weber Collection

10.5 x 7.7 x 6.0 cm. A cool looking CABINET-SIZED Mt. St-Hilaire combination specimen which includes two RARE species, leucophanite and polylithionite. The bulk of the piece is this amazing looking, etched and bladed, salmon-pink serandite. The central, vertical-bladed serandite knob is striking atop the horizontal-bladed serandite. On either side of the knob lie vuggy areas which include lustrous, pastel-yellow leucophanite crystals, lustrous, pearlescent to glassy, polylithionite plates and black aegirine crystals. All in all, a very showy and unusual combination specimen from this very famous locality, of large size.

Polylithionite, Sérandite - Poudrette quarry (Demix quarry; Uni-Mix quarry; Desourdy quarry), Mont Saint-Hilaire, Rouville RCM, Montérégie, Québec, Canada

As my first choice of the lot of several dozen specimens that were brought out at the show, this is special because of the single nice rosette of polylithionite blades perched so delicately at the top of a long stalk of serandite. Few large serandites were in this lot, and of them this was the best poly associated piece. The rosette atop measures a full 3 cm and is somewhat more appealing visually in person. BETTER IN PERSON! 6.5 x 3.5 x 3.5 cm

A sharp miniature with a 3 cm poly rosette perched delicately atop a sheaf of parallel serandite crystals. One of the nicest mini''s in the lot I saw, from the new finds of early this summer. 4 x 4 x 3 cm
