Mineral Specimens with Orlymanite

A full miniature of deep cherry-red inesite , perched on matrix of the rare species orlymanite (and this is a substantial amount of that species, here, with some value of its own!). This is a rare piece from a small and unique pocket of the late 1980s, Charlie said. It is a style I had not seen before, and has very different color and even translucency, compared to the inesite of other pockets found here. I should add that, as well, the piece is super-aesthetic!
Deep red inesites to 1 cm, form rich aggregates over an orlymanite-coated matrix here. Small calcites pop out, as well. This is a very rich specimen from a small, rare pocket of unusually deeply-colored inesite.
4.9 x 3.9 x 2.3 cm. From the Marty Zinn collection, a specimen of this classic from the Kalahari manganese fields. It features rich sprays of bladed crystals, of a fine deep salmon color.
