3.5 x 2.7 x 2.0 cm. A beautifully sharp and pristine, tabular apophylllite crystal jauntily perched on another generation of apophyllite from recent finds at the Fengjiashan Mine at Daye, China. This lustrous and translucent, tan crystal is lightly frosted and etched and has outstanding beveled edges. Textbook and classic material.

7.1 x 3.7 x 2.3 cm. Hubeite is an ULTRA-RARE silicate, approved as a species in 2000 and found ONLY at the Daye Mine in China. This is a SUPER RICH and VERY SHOWY specimen, festooned with light to dark brown, well terminated crystals on both sides and beautifully complimented by a matrix of glassy, tabular apophyllite crystals. A superb specimen of this very rare species.

5.5 x 2.4 x 2.4 cm. This is a really strange and pretty Indian specimen - a perfectly rectangular (except for the natural corner bevels), colorless crystal of apophyllite, terminated top and bottom, stuck to a thin stalactite of quartz - with smaller blocky apophyllites around the bottom.

5.5 x 4.0 x 2.7 cm. An EXCELLENT and aesthetic combination specimen from the famous Daye Mine of China, which includes the ULTRA-RARE silicate hubeite. This showy specimen is highlighted by an angled bowtie of lustrous, salmon-colored inesite crystals in the front of the piece. The bowtie is 3.0 cm long. The glassy, quartz crystal matrix is richly and attractively covered with dark brown bundles of hubeite crystals to 0.5 cm and creme-colored apophyllite microcrystals. Outstanding combo material from this famous mine.

6.2 x 5.1 x 3.8 cm. SHARP, doubly-terminated, totally pristine apophyllite of stunning ice-water-like clarity, measuring about 2 inches across! The crystal displays beautifully, standing out from a sidecar cluster of sparkling smaller ones. Ex. Charlie Key.

8.4 x 7.2 x 4.4 cm. This is an older specimen of Indian apophyllite, and you can tell by the unusually elongated crystals (to 2 cm) that burst out in every direction. They are wonderfully gemmy and lustrous, and completely covering the bit of matrix at their center, surrounding it 360 degrees. From the Stoudt collection card: "purchased in 1992 from Crystals of India through the Houston Museum". A beautifully flashy specimen! For this particular style of glassy, minty green crystals, this is a great example.

17.9 x 13.5 x 9.8 cm. This is a very large pocket basically sawn intact from the matrix, encasing a truly spectacular landscape of minerals. The star is a cluster of almost unbelievably bright and gemmy crystals of apophyllite. They are truly jewel-like. The apophyllites are surrounded by light peach stilbites, as well as smaller apophyllites and some calcites.

4.4 x 3.9 x 2.9 cm. Though literally tons of apophyllite specimens have come out of the Deccan Traps in India, a very small percentage are the GEM apophyllites you see here - which explains why it was in the notable collection of Dawn Minette. This is an intense burst of the gemmiest possible crystals, complete and undamaged all the way around. The contact is only on the underside, so it almost appears like a stunning flower!

8.5 x 7.5 x 4.5 cm. A gorgeous and lustrous mint-green Apophyllite with a pearly white core that is a remarkable 3 cm in height. The blocky habit is accented perfectly by the way it is perched upright on the matrix, and the pearly 2.5 cm doubly-terminated Stilbites add balance and beauty to the specimen. Ex. Charlie Key.

7 x 5.3 x 3.5 cm. An outstanding example of the fabulous radial Apophyllite clusters, "disco balls" as we called them, that rocked the collecting world just a few year ago. The aesthetics and quality are superb on this piece. The largest of the individual crystals is about 1 cm across and about 1.5 cm long. The brilliance of the crystals is excellent. Ex. Charlie Key.
