A stunning specimen, with two GLASSY, blocky crystals of apophyllite (to 3 cm on edge), absolutely pristine and with cool bevels on the corners, standing up perfectly off the matrix. Light pink stilbites add an attractive accent. This specimen was trimmed out perfectly into a beautifully balanced and just spectacular piece. Amongst the plentitude of specimens coming from India, a few really stand out! 8.5 x 7.8 x 4.7 cm
A blocky apophyllite with GLASS-like luster, with a pretty "green stripe" center, decorated with pastel pink stilbites. This is a large and superb apophyllite crystal! The crystal features pretty bevels on the corners. The back of this piece is a natural contact face. the front display is dramatic as heck and really leaps out! 7 x 6 x 4.2 cm
A very aesthetic and showy Indian CABINET specimen of lustrous, light salmon-pink stilbite blades to 5.6 cm with glassy and gemmy, light green apophyllite crystals from Jalgaon. This piece is undamaged. Excellent Lewadny Collection material. 10.1 x 7.3 x 5.4 cm
The big, blocky apophyllite crystal has a GLASSY luster, and is zoned with a darker green section in the middle. It sits amidst shimmering pink stilbites. 7.6 x 6.0 x 3.5cm
This incredible specimen features a 10 cm (4 inch!) , semitranslucent, doubly-terminated, pristine, perfectly formed, elgantly curved, lustrous-as-hell, heulandite crystal. I consider it one of the finest examples of the species. Others at teh show to whom i showed it to, agreed. It is certainly the best there is from India for this style and habit, at the very least. I just cannot rave enough. Steve bought it directly from India and had it trimmed. Frankly, I thought he should have kept it as he still has a great Indian zeolites collection to this day - but its just big and a bit unwieldy admist generally smaller specimens and so it is going... 20 x 13.5 x 10.8 cm
Gemmy and lustrous, doubly terminated, colorless to light green apophyllite-(KF) growing around lustrous, bladed, light salmon-pink, bladed stilbite on matrix from Jalgaon. Pretty material from the Hauck Collection, probalby from the 1970s. 4.6 x 4.2 x 3.7 cm
A recent batch of apophyllites from India have these pretty green stripes right down the middle. This one has fine luster, is doubly-terminated, and perched perfectly on its matrix. The crystal measures 4.5 cm. 9.2 x 5.0 x 4.5cm
Pink apophyllite crystals with finely-formed, bright and striated pyrite crystals. Also note the pretty spherical white tobermorite 3.3 x 3.1 x 2.7cm
An EXCELLENT and beautiful crust of royal-blue, micro kinoite crystals sprinkled with tiny, sparkly, colorless apophyliite crystals on matrix from the famous Christmas Mine of Arizona. 2.8 x 1.9 x 0.7 cm
A cluster of INTENSELY gemmy - the absolute top in quality - apophyllite crystals, beautifully centered on a matrix of silky stilbite crystals. I think the pics show pretty well how amazingly glassy and fine these crystals are - the best of the best, as they say! Though there are plenty of zeolite specimens out there, very few reach this level of quality. 5.1 x 5.1 x 4.4cm
The best kinoites came out for a short time in the 70s from this Arizona mine, and specimens show up only rarely on the market. This is a big, very rich one - with the kinoite crystals intermixed with little apophyllites, a common combination from this locality. The kinoites take the typical form of a druse of microcrystals - they are never large. the white xls are apophyllite, making for nice contrast. these are much prettier in person due to the amazing sparke and lively blue color that is hard to convey. 13.0 x 9.3 x 6.2cm
Its actually very hard to get such an elegant thumb showing a full spray, like this, despite the quantity of larger specimens!. 2.7 x 2.5 x 2 cm
An incredibly glassy, gemmy and bright apophyllite crystal (better in person!), isolated in the crook of a rising matrix covered with silky, shimmering stilbites. The apophyllite measures 3 cm in height. Super piece! 7.2 x 7.2 x 6.6cm
A huge, dazzling plate of gemmy-tipped apophyllite crystals to over 5 cm, intergrown with light salmon-colored bowties of stilbite. A big, flashy showpiece! 25.0 x 20.5 x 9.2cm
An EXCELLENT and VERY UNCOMMON specimen from the Wessels Mine of South Africa of acicular inesite enclosed in a water-clear gypsum cleavage fragment, which has several well-developed faces. The back of the piece has a real bonus. Gemmy apophyllite crystals are nestled in milky and water-clear quartz crystals. 4.2 x 3.6 x 2.0 cm
