13.0 x 11.0 x 9.7 cm. Sharp, tetrahedral tennantite crystals to 2.8 cm, stunningly covered with sparkly mimetite needles, are artfully scattered on the 3-dimensional sulfide matrix richly covered with lustrous, white dolomite rhombs. Mimetite needles are abundantly scattered on this large piece.
2.2 x 2.1 x 1.8 cm. This mimetite specimen features orange color, sharp, lustrous, hexagonal crystals with unique “scepter”-like overgrowths and amazing gemminess around the edges.
1.7 x 1.1 x 0.9 cm. A gemmy, stout and fat, sharply hexagonal, two-toned amber mimetite crystal. Ex. Jack Burch Collection.
3.8 x 3.6 x 2.7 cm. An aesthetic pseudomorph featuring yellowish green bayldonite after very long, thin mimetite crystals with a coating of medium green malachite. The individual pseudos reach about an inch.
7.4 x 6.8 x 4.7 cm. This is an extremely 3-dimensional specimen of the classic and very rare material found just sporadically at the Roughton Gill Mine, and of this quality & combination only in the higher levels around the 1830s. Ex. Rice Northwest Museum Collection.
9.3 x 8.0 x 4.5 cm. Lustrous, pyramidal, butterscotch-colored wulfenite crystals concentrated in a diagonal band. Crystals reach 1.7 cm and some are doubly terminated, including the longest crystal. The gossan crust is partially coated with forest-green mimetite. The exact mine location is Level 6, San Juan Poniente vein.
3.1 x 2.9 x 1.7 cm. Gemmy, elongated, yellow mimetite crystals to 1.3 cm are scattered on contrasting, sparkly, gemmy, smithsonite microcrystal-covered gossan matrix. Ex. John Medici Collection.
3.8 x 3.4 x 2.1 cm. Lustrous, tabular, hexagonal, mellow-yellow mimetite crystals to 1.1 cm are artistically strewn across gossan matrix on this showy and excellent miniature from Mt. Bonnie, Northern Territory, Australia.
12.4 x 12.4 x 8.5 cm. A huge specimen of Tsumeb mimetite - not the prettiest mimetite in the world, but incredibly large and rich for this species considering its uncommonness from this locality. There are hundreds of little translucent, spiky, cream-colored crystals covering the side of the matrix.
7.5 x 6.5 x 5 cm. This is an excellent example of the classic English mimetites once known by the varietal name of "Campylite." Ex. Gary Hansen Collection.
8.8 x 8.3 x 4.2 cm. A superb Tsumeb combination specimen of at least 12 lustrous, colorless, cyclically-twinned cerussite crystals set on a robust, sintered, latticework matrix that is richly covered with sparkly, tan to orangey mimetite microcrystals. The largest twin is 3.3 cm across. Ex. Rob Smith Collection.
5.4 x 5.1 x 3.5 cm. An old-time, fine specimen of sparkly, elongate, hexagonal, orange-brown mimetite crystals covering vuggy gossan matrix on this excellent specimen from Cornwall, England. Ex George Elling and F. Krantz Collections.
8.0 x 5.0 x 4.7 cm. A very showy, stacked combination specimen from Santa Eulalia of blocky, porcelaneous calcite rhombs richly and aesthetically covered with sparkly mimetite crystal sprays. The largest rhomb is 2.3 cm. This is classic, older material from the 1960s-70s. Ex. George Elling Collection.
7.9 x 5.8 x 3.4 cm. A mimetite from the Bilbao Mine. The waxy, silky surface to these stands out. Ex. Harold Urish Collection.
