7.0 x 4.7 x 2.5 cm. An UNUSUAL and SHOWY Tsumeb pseudomorph of multi-shaded yellow mimetite needles pseudomorphing a large cyclically-twinned cerussite crystal. There is just a bit of cerussite left at the top, which is neat. A fine Tsumeb pseudo.
6.5 x 5.8 x 3.6 cm. Tsumeb is definitely the world’s most famous Copper mine, and one of the most classic localities in the world. Yellow Mimetites from Tsumeb are some of the most highly coveted specimens for collectors. This particular specimen features several bright canary yellow, lustrous, prismatic of crystallized Mimetite with small spherical, mint-green color aggregates of Malachite on gossan matrix. A fine old classic from Tsumeb. Ex. Brian Kosnar Collection.
2.8 x 2.1 x 2.0 cm. A SUPERB and AESTHETIC mounded thumbnail cluster of Gem Pocket mimetite crystals from the ONE-TIME, 1971 find at the Tsumeb Mine. This is a very rich specimen of brilliant and gemmy, yellow-green mimetite crystals, considered to be the world’s finest mimetites. Definitely considered to be one of the Holy Grail Tsumeb species and this is a REALLY GOOD ONE. Ex. George Elling Collection.
6.2 x 3.9 x 2.7 cm. From a small group of specimens we acquired of amazing GREEN mimetite from Mina Ojuela - like the yellow ones in every way except for this rare color! This one is not as big and rich as the others we have had recently, but the color is the same and it is notable as a specimen from this unusual find! Henry Minot specimen.
5.9 x 4.6 x 2.3 cm. Classic brushy yellow mimetite from Mapimi (made of small translucent balls of radiating crystals). Henry Minot specimen.
8.1 x 6.8 x 2.2 cm. A largish plate of classic Mina Ojuela mimetite, yellow (less greenish in person) clusters of small bushy balls, piled up on a thin limonitic matrix.
2.9 x 2.3 x 1.7 cm. Yellow mimetite crystals and lustrous, greenish-black beaudantite crystals aesthetically set in a vug form a showy and excellent Tsumeb combination specimen. This is a fine display combo, RARELY seen with these two species.
6.3 x 5.6 x 2.1 cm. Lustrous, PYRAMIDAL, butterscotch-colored wulfenite crystals. The very sturdy crust of botryoidal, forest-green mimetite of unusual color is an outstanding compliment. The exact mine location is Level 6, San Juan Poniente vein.
6.5 x 4.9 x 3.4 cm. From the collection of Rob Smith, a specimen that has become exceedingly hard to obtain - gemmy mimetite crystals from Tsumeb. While these crystals are not large, they ARE gemmy, sharp little spikes, dozens of them, following the nooks and crannies of the matrix.
3.3 x 3.2 x 1.5 cm. From a very unusual handful of specimens we acquired of GREEN mimetites, in every other way reminiscent of the classic yellow ones from here. This is a "cutie" from the batch.
16.9 x 12.5 x 7.9 cm. We have brought you several specimens from this incredible find of GREEN mimetite from the classic mimetite locality. This is the biggest and richest so far - an entire pocket removed intact in the limonite matrix! It is familiar in every way, except that instead of the usual yellow color, this really is GREEN (even more than the pic shows, which looks more yellowish than the green of the specimen in person).
7.3 x 4.3 x 2.3 cm. Gemmy and lustrous, single and doubly terminated, acicular, butterscotch-colored mimetite crystals to 1.0 cm RICHLY and AESTHETICALLY cover massive mimetite matrix on this showy and excellent Tsumeb specimen. Ex. Miljon Collection, a Tsumeb miner from 1945 to 1975. Classic, old-time and highly representative material from the Brent Lockhart Collection.
6.5 x 4.1 x 1.7 cm. An exceptionally aesthetic pseudomorph from the famed Santa Eulalia District of Mexico. Sparkly, botryoidal, tan mimetite covers a sharp and complete all-around goethite after gypsum crystal on mimetite-covered goethite matrix. The back of the pseudo has a very distinctive groove and the lightly contacted termination reveals the inner core of goethite. Certainly not a detraction, but in fact, a "revelation". This is an oddity - have not seen the like before. Ex. Brent Lockhart Collection.
3.0 x 3.0 x 2.4 cm. A CLASSIC and very showy Mexican specimen from the famous San Francisco Mine. Water-clear windowpanes of yellow, tabular wulfenites to 1.2 cm are nicely set on mounded matrix, which is richly covered with orange, botryoidal mimetite. This is certainly one of the most desirable Mexican combination pieces. The rich, orange mimetite color leads me to believe, that this is an older piece from the 1960s or 70s. The corner of the large crystal is missing and there is a broken crystal in front of it, but this is an excellent and highly representative specimen of these two species. Ex. John Ydren Collection.
6.5 x 5 x 3 cm. Pyramidal wulfenite crystals to 1 cm perched on a matrix of rolling carpet of green, velvety, MIMETITE (lab tests done quickly at the University of Arizona show this to be in fact mimetite of a unique hue).
