An unusual and showy combination specimen from the famous Black Pine Mine of Montana. Turquoise-green philipsburgite - this is the TYPE LOCALITY, coats a pristine quartz crystal on matrix. Green microcrystallized mimetite and selenite crystals are nicely set on the specimen. This is a RARE COMBINATION piece especially for the mimetite 2.7 x 1.8 x 1.5 cm
These mimetites caused a huge stir when they were introduced at the Tucson Show of 2003. There were never very many, though, and they were REALLY expensive. Though this specimen has some bruising here and there, it is RICH with fine crystals of the best color, including a couple of wonderful hoppered crystals a full centimeter in size! 5.0 x 3.5 x 3.3cm
Bright orangey-yellow botryoidal mimetite, a classic from San Pedro Correllitos and not available anymore (they were found just once in the early 1970s). The mimetite balls cover the entire face of the specimen, and are undamaged! Superb and colorful. 6 x 3.8 x 2.5 cm
A very cute combination specimen, featuring an unusually formed, lustrous calcite perched on gossan matrix tha tis duted with bright yellow mimetite! Old material fro mthis classic locale! 6.6 x 3.7 x 2.2 cm
An excellent, two-sided Tsumeb specimen. One side consists of lustrous, white calcite rhombs to 1.3 cm, while the calcite on the backside is covered with tiny, lustrous and gemmy, yellow mimetite needles to 5 mm. 5.3 x 4.5 x 2.5 cm
Bright yellow crystals of mimetite on limonite matrix, from the classic Mapimi locality. Though Mapimi was a prolific producer of mineral specimens of all kinds, specimens of euhedral mimetite crystals from there are not common on the market. Most people do not realize how rare these are and think the mimetites all come from San Pedro Correlitos...but true mapimi pieces like this are much more uncommon and always were. 4.4 x 2.3 x 2.0cm
Gemmy, yellow mimetite needles to 8 mm richly cover both sides of the sparkly, dolomite-covered matrix from Tsumeb. This excellent piece has mutltiple display possibilities, as you can see. Ex Rob Smith Collection, a noted South African dealer and collector. 6.7 x 4.5 x 3.3 cm
A fine thumber of the superb mimetite that shook things up so much when it came out a couple years ago. The large crystal here, with fine color and glassy luster, measures over a centimeter across. The cluster has only a small point of contact in the center of the back, and a fine display face that has crystals facing in all directions. ALL GONE..the deposit seems to be done with, now! 2 x 1.6 x 1.4 cm
Rich and pretty green malachite on a bed of cuprite "fingers" - a very interesting and attractive copper-mineral combo specimen from the classic Tsumeb locality. Very rich for primary malachite from tsumeb, as well 10.4 x 5.2 x 2.9cm
Mimetites of this quality are simply hard to find. The superb luster, good color, sharp edges, and good clarity make all the crystals in the cluster very attractive. And with the largest being at least 1 cm, and doubly- terminated, it would be hard to argue that this cluster is anything but exceptional. The style is also unusual in and of itself. 2.7 x 2.2 x 1.3 cm
Snow-white barite on SHOCKING fiery-red mimetite, makes for a stunning contrast. This is extremely rare material , found in the 1960s-1970s in limited quantity, and I have seen only 3 for sale in the last 5 years or so. 5.3 x 5 x 2.9 cm
A rich, gorgoues specimen covered with sparkling yellow barrel-shaped crystals of mimetite from this onetime find of the mid-1990s. These are spectacular mimetite by any standard and were generally unappreciated at the time. Scarce , now, they were never common to begin with and no more have come out since. This is a specimen that had remained with one of the original importers of the material into Europe, until recently. 10 x 7.5 x 2.7 cm

This is a specimen that had remained with one of the original importers of the material into Europe, until recently. This is more expensive than the above because it has larger crystals, to 8mm. 10.1 x 5.1 x 2.9 cm
Lustrous, sparkly clusters of orange-brown mimetite in a broccoli-like form. 4.2 x 3.5 x 1.7cm
A most unusual specimen with a fat, flaring mimetite crystal coming out from matrix, and another flaring to the left. The mimetites are like none i have seen with flaring tops on tapered bases, and orange cores within yellow. They look like flowers. 2.5 x 2.2 x 2.2 cm
