I had heard about but never before seen one of these fine crystallized ludlamites from a small find in the 1970s. With crystals to 6mm, that shine nicelyand have good lustre and translucency, this is a good ludlamite from ANY location anyhow and certainly an important addition to any collection of phosphates or Brazilian minerals. It is associated with minor eosphorite. From the miniature rarities suite of Lawrence Conklin.

Sharp, freestanding crystals of ludlamite from the famous early 1980s finds here, reahc 6 mm and spray out in all directions. This is a very aesthetic, fine example of the species from Mexico. Rare on the market today. From the Martin Zinn collection, obtained by me in 2005 and then sold to the Dave Stoudt collection from whence it comes back to me now. Joe Budd photos

A fairly large, rich specimen with sharp crystals of ludlamite, nicely isolated on matrix and to 6 mm in size. A partial vivianite crystal is off to one side, and small smaltite (by xray) crystals accompany. Classic old material from the 1960s era of mining here! Purchased in 1968 towards the end of the productive years when the mine was open. I personally think these discrete ludlamite crystals characteristic of the locale, nicely spaced on matrix, are among the finest for the species.

5.5 x 4.0 x 2.7 cm. This is a very good specimen of this remarkably rare iron phosphate consisting of wonderful, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, deep green, layered crystal groups of Ludlamite associated with lustrous gemmy blue Vivianite crystals sitting atop Pyrite matrix. The largest Ludlamite group of crystals measures 1.9 cm long and the largest Vivianite crystal measures 0.7 cm. There have been no more of these specimens found in the last 5 years from this locality, and it is a possibility there will never be any more.

2.2 x 2.0 x 1.8 cm. Lustrous and glassy, green ludlamite crystals are aesthetically set on gossan matrix on this EXCELLENT thumbnail from the small, 1992 find at the famous San Antonio Mine at Santa Eulalia. These were snapped up quickly, with no more good ones, since! The long, DT crystal in the center, really sets this fine piece off.
