10.5 x 7.7 x 6.0 cm. A cool looking CABINET-SIZED Mt. St-Hilaire combination specimen which includes two RARE species, leucophanite and polylithionite. The bulk of the piece is this amazing looking, etched and bladed, salmon-pink serandite. The central, vertical-bladed serandite knob is striking atop the horizontal-bladed serandite. On either side of the knob lie vuggy areas which include lustrous, pastel-yellow leucophanite crystals, lustrous, pearlescent to glassy, polylithionite plates and black aegirine crystals. All in all, a very showy and unusual combination specimen from this very famous locality, of large size.

8.9 x 4.7 x 4.4 cm. A striking and classic specimen of two, intergrown, highly lustrous, superbly crystallized, salmon-colored serandite crystals aesthetically framed by starkly contrasting tabular and blocky albite crystals. This excellent specimen is nicely accented with lustrous, black aegirine needles to 2.0 cm and a single, very well-placed front and center, gemmy, amber, 5 mm leucophanite crystal. This is a fairly large, dramatic and highly desirable combination specimen with serandite from this famed locale. Ex. Larry Conklin specimen.

Leucophanite (huge crystal) - Mont St Hilaire, Quebec, Canada

A HUGE crystal for this species, which normally is found in crystals of 1 cm and under. Although opaque and not gemmy as smaller ones, this is a monster for the size and has incredible textbook form and symmetry. Purchased directly from the collector, Gilles Haineult
