MD-21351 - Leifite, Ancylite, Aegirine - - Archived Québec, Canada miniature, 4.5 x 3 x 2.5 cm
This fine miniature is one of the most remarkable and attractive such pieces I have seen because of the well-balanced aesthetics. I have seen and had several of these treasured leifite spherical clusters, but none that had such pizzazz as a specimen, OVERALL, as this one does! The leifite cluster is 2 cm. From the noted rarities collection of German collector Paul Stahl. 4.5 x 3 x 2.5 cm
MD-223828 - Sérandite, Leifite - - Archived Poudrette quarry (Demix quarry; Uni-Mix quarry; Desourdy quarry), Mont Saint-Hilaire, Rouville RCM, Montérégie, Québec, Canada thumbnail, 2.5 x 2.4 x 1.3 cm.
2.5 x 2.4 x 1.3 cm. A classic, sharp, glassy, orange serandite crystal aesthetically set on a shard of matrix covered with smaller serandites, black manganoneptunite and white leifite crystals from the Poudrette Quarry at Mt. St-Hilaire, Quebec. Very highly representative of the rare species in combination and world-famous locale.
MD-238745 - Leifite, Sérandite - - Archived Poudrette quarry (Demix quarry; Uni-Mix quarry; Desourdy quarry), Mont Saint-Hilaire, Rouville RCM, Montérégie, Québec, Canada small cabinet, 5.8 x 4.5 x 3.8 cm.
5.8 x 4.5 x 3.8 cm. This alkali massif has produced an incredible number of uncommon to very rare minerals. Among the world’s best are leifite and serandite which were found together in a famous pocket in the late 1980’s. This matrix specimen is highlighted by translucent, salmon-colored serandite crystals to .5 cm across which are topped by spheroidal aggregates of lustrous, ivory colored leifite to 2.5 cm across. Ex. Martin Zinn Collection.
MD-34730 - Leifite, Sérandite, Manganoneptunite - - Archived Poudrette quarry (Demix quarry; Uni-Mix quarry; Desourdy quarry), Mont Saint-Hilaire, Rouville RCM, Montérégie, Québec, Canada thumbnail, 2.5 cm
This remarkable, colorful, dramatic combination specimen was collected by Gilles Haineult and also a surprise to me at the show, in that I had thought all good ones from this pocket long sold. Moreover, I have never had one with such large leifite clusters ON contrasting serandite, nor have i seen such a fine specimen for sale with any dealership. The cluster shown in the closeup is 2.5 cm across! (that view is actually of the back left side of the specimen as shown in the whole photo). I think most people could agree that this particular pocket produced best of species for the mineral in terms of crystal size and aggregate size, and so to have a matrix example of such quality is rather significant. 5.6 x 3.6 x 3.1 cm
MD-38535 - Leifite - - Archived Poudrette quarry (Demix quarry; Uni-Mix quarry; Desourdy quarry), Mont Saint-Hilaire, Rouville RCM, Montérégie, Québec, Canada thumbnail, 2.2 cm
An aesthetic miniature featuring a perfectly centered 2.2 cm radial spray of euhedral leifite crystals. 4.4 x 4.3 x 4 cm

This matrix specimen is highlighted by translucent, salmon colored, serandite crystals to .5 cm across which are topped by spheroidal aggregates of lustrous, ivory colored leifite, to 2.5 cm across. This is among the more aesthetic of large leifite specimens I have seen and has a huge amount of this rare species present in significantly good crystals.
RARE08-2-51 - Leifite - $ 450 SOLD Poudrette quarry, Mt. Saint-Hillaire, Quebec, Canada thumbnail, 1.8 x 1.5 x 1.4 cm ex. Carlton Davis
A superb cluster of translucent, 3-dimensional leifite crystals of the most desirable habit - showing real terminations instead of merging into an acicular mess as some styles do. These crystals were found , in this habit, only a few times at this productive locality and this is a world class thumbnail example from the colleciton of my own mentor, Carl Davis, who specialized in such rarities.
