One of the very richest specimens, loaded with xls (mostly 2 mm or so)
Excellent representative specimen with several sharp xls on contrasting matrix. Some large crystals are damaged but they are huge. there are a few sharp, intact, smaller crystals of 2-3 mm
A single super-sharp , pseudooctahedral crystal on contrasting matrix. nice!
A single super-sharp , 3-dimensional crystal on contrasting matrix. better in person!
My favorite! Isolated, large xls to 5 mm or a bit larger, sitting amidst gemmy siderite xls
Rich cluster of crystals, with some very large ones mixed in. Very showy for what it is
This specimen has a dramatic large crystal of just over 6 mm sitting atop, overlooking a slightly smaller, doubly-terminated crystal on contrasting matrix . Very stark, displayable specimen . There is also an admittedly Broken XL but of RIDICULOUSLY large size (15mm) near the base of the piece. Minor gormanite, as well.
SUPER THUMBNAIL, rich with great, sharp xls! many are 3 mm or so. very high quality here!
A single very large crystal, extremely 3-dimensional, in matrix with gemmy siderites. Nice and showy, but hellishly big for the species as well
Thick, lustrous, chunky crystals averaging 3mm string across this matrix, nicely contrasted to the quartz, gormanite, and siderite beneath them. BETTER IN PERSON and probably the best example for across the board quality, richness, and size of specimen and crystals. This was , certainly, the best specimen available from the find at the Denver show
Excellent representative specimen with several sharp xls on contrasting matrix.
5.1 x 3.3 x 2.3 cm. A rich, solid mass of the rare phosphate kryzhanovskite (fairly remarkable for the mass) with embedded crystals of pale greenish-yellow ludlamite. They are not very fine by worldwide standards, but they are large for the locality at nearly 1 cm maximal, and rich overall upon the matrix.
Lustrous, brown crystals to 2 mm of the rare manganese, iron phosphate kryzhanovskite nicely scattered on matrix from the famous Rapid Creek area, Yukon, Canada. 4.5 x 2.8 x 1.6 cm
A fine specimen, richly covered with lustrous and gemmy, brown crystals of the RARE phosphate kryzhanovskite to 4 mm from Rapid Creek, Yukon, Canada. Crystals are on the front and top of the piece. These are large and fine crystals for the species and locality. 5.5 x 3.7 x 3.0 cm All Content and Design ©1996-2012 The ArkenstonePowered by http://mineralwebsites.comMineral Specimens by species; or by specimen id. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
