#2: 4.5 cm tall - $12500 (SOLD) #3: 3 cm tall - $3000 Three superb large jerems from the famous finds of about 5 years ago, that Charlie was first on the scene for and stashed away since then. These have exceptional lustre, deep blue color for the find (most were colorless to pale blue), and are LARGE....Most of us will never own a good jeremejevite of such stature. This is a rare opportunity, however, to do so.

Jeremejevite - Mile 72, Swakopmund District, NamibiaJeremejevite - Mile 72, Swakopmund District, Namibia

Jeremejevite is a very rare borate, and one of the most highly sought after mineral species in the world. Cut stones of Jeremejevite are virtually impossible to find on the market these days, and the top stones are highly prized by collectors. This stone is from the historic Mile 72 locality in the Swakopmund District of Namibia, and is the premier locality for Jeremejevite in the world. This stone looks much better in person than the photos would indicate. Although it is very slightly included, the inclusions are amplified by the fact that such a small stone is magnified in the photos to several times its size. With that said, the color in this gem is a good medium blue, and not at all grey, yellow or colorless like many Jeremejevite gems from this area. The stone has a Cushion cut and is very attractive for the material. You do not see Jeremejevite gems on the market today, and the majority of the best crystals are stashed away in old collections and museums. A great opportunity to own a fine quality, colorful collector gem from a premier locality.

With that said, the color in this gem is a vibrant blue, and not at all grey, yellow or colorless like many Jeremejevite gems from this area. The stone has an Emerald cut and is very attractive for the material. You do not see Jeremejevite gems on the market today, and the majority of the best crystals are stashed away in old collections and museums. With that said, the color in this gem is a good medium blue, and not at all grey, yellow or colorless like many Jeremejevite gems from this area. The stone has a Scissor cut and is very attractive for the material. You do not see Jeremejevite gems on the market today, and the majority of the best crystals are stashed away in old collections and museums. This stone is from the historic Mile 72 locality in the Swakopmund District of Namibia, and is the premier locality for Jeremejevite in the world. This stone is only one in this update that shows a slight purple overtone, which is quite rare in my experience. I think the saturation of this stone is exceptional, especially for the size. With that said, the color in this gem is a light medium blue, and not at all grey, yellow or colorless like many Jeremejevite gems from this area. The stone has a wide Trillion cut and is very attractive for the material. It is very slightly included. JEREM-1 - Jeremejevite - $ 2400
Erongo Mountains, Namibia
miniature, 4.4 x 0.6 x 0.5 cm

Jeremejevite - Erongo Mountains, Namibia

A giant 4.4-cm crystal with stunning blue depths to the core and a contrasting clear tip. I love the contrast here - some crystals are blue, or clear (too clear), but this balance is very attractive.

JEREM-2 - Jeremejevite - $ 2500 SOLD
Erongo Mountains, Namibia
miniature, 4.1 x 1.1 x 0.7 cm

Jeremejevite - Erongo Mountains, Namibia

A very fine cluster of jeremejevite with a 4.1-cm central crystal. This is fairly large for the species, to get a terminated crystal. The sidecars at the base add more mass to the piece, making this a fine miniature a bit different from other specimens which are generally singles (from either major locality, Erongo or Swakopmund).

JEREM-3 - Jeremejevite - $ 2250
Erongo Mountains, Namibia
miniature, 4.7 x 0.9 x 0.6 cm

Jeremejevite - Erongo Mountains, Namibia

This is a highly unusual fat, doubly-terminated crystal! There is obvious cutting rough value to this piece, no question about it.

A floater, complete gem crystal of jeremejevite showing extremely high glassy lustre and good, rich color. These crystals are glassy and reflect brightly from many micro-faces. The intense blue color here is characteristic of the older finds at Swakopmund, though those were of a different crystal morphology.
