5.4 x 4.4 x 4.4 cm. Pyrites from the Italian island of Elba European classics. This is a large single crystal with some matrix and hematite remaining on the back (contact) side, with sharp faces.
4.4 x 3.7 x 2.2 cm. A beautiful mini of red quartz on bladed hematite, with wonderful aesthetics. The gemmy quartz crystals get their coloring from inclusions of iron oxide.
7.5 x 4.0 x 3.7 cm. An extremely showy and aesthetic Chinese specimen of a perfect, 2.2 cm, lustrous, hematite "iron rose" beautifully set at the base of two, glassy, water-clear quartz towers. The pristine quartz crystals are neatly accented by hematite flake inclusions. An excellent combination specimen.
4.2 x 2.1 x 2.0 cm. An aesthetic divergent cluster of very glassy, rust-red, hematite-included quartz crystals from recent finds near the Orange River of South Africa. For the species, they are definitely world-class. The translucent quartz crystals have very neat stepped growth faces and the interior phantoms at the terminations of ALL of the quartz crystals are stunning. Nearly damage-free, with only the slightest of edge wear on one termination.

7.9 x 5.2 x 3.2 cm. A wonderful quartz specimen from the Orange River, a locality from which we have been offering you some really nice fluorites lately, but which also has produced a variety of interesting and pretty quartz specimens. This is a floater cluster, with all terminations complete, of quartz crystals with intense red inclusions of oxidized hematite. Ex. Wein Collection.
4.8 x 3.7 x 1.9 cm. Gemmy, deep wine-red rutile crystals epitaxial and aesthetically scattered on thick, lustrous, gray hematite blades on this very well-formed CLASSIC from the famed Binn Valley of Switzerland. This very showy and excellent, two-sided specimen is certainly dominated by the beautiful, large, 1.2 cm rutile crystal on one side. Ex. Dr. Gary Hansen Collection and not seen since the early 1980s.
11.5 x 8 x 6 cm. This is a most aesthetic and interesting Wessels specimen. The drusy andradite garnet matrix is home to a complex set of gorgeous mirror-like hematite crystals, the largest of which is 3 cm across! These, in turn, support three terrific white translucent-to-gemmy calcite crystals, the largest of which is 3 cm on edge. The Calcites have excellent luster and a very unusual ratcheted form along some of the edges. On top of that, they have a beautiful and amazing gemmy fluorescence. Ex. Charlie Key.
12.0 x 9.3 x7.8 cm. This is a truly spectacular, old time English Calcite specimen consisting of dozens of sharp, gemmy, translucent/gemmy "dog-tooth" habit scalenohedral crystals with beautiful inclusions of reddish Hematite creating a very eye-catching cabinet size display piece. The crystals are just bursting out 3-dimensionally in all directions and the piece is essentially crystallized all the way around, showing no matrix from the display side though it remains underneath. Most of the crystals are pristine and the specimen displays very well from several angles. This specimen came out in the late 1800s. Ex. Richard Kosnar Collection.
11.4 x 8.7 x 6.3 cm. Calcite is one of the most abundant species on the planet, but Tsumeb Calcites come in a wide range of habits and colors, making them one of the most diverse species from this historic and prolific locality. This highly attractive display specimen comprises dozens of razor sharp, highly lustrous, white, rhombohedra of Calcite with a wash of reddish colored Hematite inclusions on two sides, creating a stunning two-tone color effect. Largest Crystal: 2.5 cm. on edge. Ex. Richard Kosnar Collection.
9.5 x 7.4 x 4.7 cm. Tabular, GEM, olive-green sturmanite crystals RICHLY line two vugs in massive, layered hematite ore on this excellent and showy specimen from the famous N’Chwaning II Mine. The nicely beveled crystals are so glassy. This is an UNCOMMON sturmanite varietal. Ex. Rob Smith Collection, a noted South Africa/Namibia collector.
3.7 x 2.4 x 1.4 cm. A strikingly aesthetic small mini of red quartz (included by hematite) from the Oranje River locality in Namibia, with one glassy crystal leaning attractively against another.
3.3 x 2.2 x 2.1 cm. A STRANGE and UNIQUE quartz ball on calcite matrix from Tsumeb. One-half of the sparkly, microcrystalline surface of the ball is colored green by malachite inclusions and the other half is colored light red by hematite inclusions. Ex. Rob Smith Collection.
3.1 x 2.4 x 2.3 cm. An ultra-sharp and scintillating hematite pseudomorph after an octahedral magnetite crystal jauntily perched atop smaller pseudos from the well-known 2002 find in Argentina. This artistic piece has textbook crystal form and came from a volcano in a national park, where collecting is strictly prohibited. Supposedly. Anyways, this is an excellent piece and who knows when more will come now.
5.9 x 5.8 x 5.4 cm. More quartz, this from the well-known Orange river locality. The crystals are bright red from inclusions of hematite.
6.8 x 3.4 x 2.9 cm. Going way back miners at the classic Bisbee locality preserved specimens of the huge variety of calcite found within the mines, as they had no commercial value, but the miners recognized their beauty and variety. This specimen came out of the collection of Dave Stoudt, who had quite a broad array of Bisbee calcites in his collection. This is a stalactitic form of sharp rhombs, with a color tint from inclusions of hematite.
