A really bright and beautiful, classic Eagle''s Nest gold specimen, and substantial too - not thin and wimpy but quite thick, weighing 7 grams. You can see distinct crystals, and the overall form is quite scuptural and pretty. Worth a good $900-1000 and of course gold specimens are never discounted due to their intrinsic value - so don''t let it go cheaply! 3.6 x 2.9 x .4 cm
”The Saber Tooth”. Wonderful gold specimen with well-formed individual crystals and at least one spinel twin crystal. With such great luster and sharp crystals, this is a killer from any locale - from Canada, its amazing 2.4 x 1 x .3 cm
A rich, colorful, and very stylish miniature from this classic and hard-to-obtain locality! 5.4 x 2.8 x 0.3 cm
An extremely rich, well-crysatllized example of the classic gold from the Dixie Mine. Seldom do you find such fine specimens with MATRIX, as opposed to just loose sheaves of interconnected crystals - and even those are rare. This is an unusually aesthetic example of antique Colorado gold! 5 x 4 x 4 cm
A sharply crystallized gold specimen, complete ALL around, and looking curiously like a scots terrier, hence its nickname of "scotty dog" by the previous owners. It weighs 32 grams (just over an ounce) and was collected in 1993. This is a really sturdy piece, and CQ mine specimens are generally far sturdier and thicker than their Eagles Nest Mine counterparts. Its a very good, very impressive gold for the price, I think. My understanding of the mine is that it is, for the moment at least, on idle. 5 x 3.4 x 0.8 cm
An aesthetic gold thumbnail of lustrous, spinel-twinned gold crystals from Kittitas County, Washington. Rare on the market! 1.4 x 1.2 x 0.7 cm
An excellent collection of lustrous, spinel-twinned wire gold from an uncommon locality, Newfoundland, Canada. The longest feather or wire is 1.2 cm. 1.2 cm - longest
Sharp and lustrous spinel-twinned gold wires and a few gold plates totaling nearly 3/4 troy ounce from Colorado. There are some beautiful, feathered, spinel-twinned wires in this bountiful group of gold pieces. The longest wire is 1.3 cm and the largest plate is 1.0 cm. Ex Richard Hauck Collection. 1.3 cm - longest
An AESTHETIC and SUPERB thumbnail of lustrous, dendritic, spinel-twinned gold crystals with a bit of quartz from Mariposa County, California. Ex Marilyn Dodge Collection. 1.9 x 1.7 x 0.5 cm
A SUPERB and AESTHETIC gold specimen of lustrous, flattened octohedrons and elongated spinel-twins from the famous Eagle"s Nest Mine. This one is really good, because both sides are equally beautiful. Such is not always the case. Golds of this quality are normally reserved for the Gallery, but this is Christmas - so have at it. 3.7 x 1.9 x 0.4 cm
An AESTHETIC and SUPERB, arrow-like gold thumbnail of lustrous spinel-twinned gold crystals from the Nightingale District of Nevada. 2.0 x 0.7 x 0.4 cm
Sharply crystallized gold specimen from the Northern Cal motherlode 2.0 x 1.8 x 0.4cm
Aesthetic specimen of a spire of Arsenopyrite sprinkled with lustrous coarse Gold crystals averaging 2-3 mm in size. The combination of the numerous Gold crystals, the silver matrix and the white Quartz for accent make this nicely attractive. Unusual! 2.2 x .9 x .9 cm
This is a choice thumbnail of native gold, comprised of bright, lustrous, well formed octahedrons to .5 cm across. These octohedrons are unusually sharp and 3-D! 1.1 x 1.1 x 0.7 cm
Brilliant, metallic, golden luster, highlights this specimen with several octahedral crystals, to 1 cm across. These are flattenned, elongated, and extremely sharp and dramatic. The thumbnail specimen as a whole is quite hefty, not wimpy at all as it looks in a fla tpicture, and these are crystals that REALLY stand out in person even more. The lustre is the top one percentile, truly spectacular and visually impressive beyond its size. The color, luster and form, all make this a world class thumbnail! 2.3 x 1.7 x 1.5 cm
