A stalactite of brilliantly iridescent goethite, showing an amazing play of colors! An old Georgia specimen. Better in person 4 x 1.4 x 1.2 cm
An excellent and sculptural two-sided crust of iridescent, green, purple and rust-red, botryoidal goethite from Graves Mountain, Georgia. Not much of this material is available anymore. Ex Marty Lewadny Collection of Winnepeg, Canada 6.0 x 3.8 x 1.9 cm
An incredible rainbow of colors on this specimen of botryoidal turgite (a variety of hematite) with goethite. 3.9 x 3.4 x 3.4 cm
An EXCELLENT and EXTREMELY SHOWY two-sided specimen of iridescent, botryoidal goethite from Graves Mountain in Georgia. Super rainbow of colors. Not much of this material is available anymore. Ex Marty Lewadny Collection of Winnipeg, Canada. 6.4 x 4.3 x 3.0 cm
Delicate and very attractive pseudomorph in which the Gypsum is perfectly replaced by the Goethite. Each sharp blade shimmers with a green or red iridescence that gives this excellent thumb a beauty all its own. 2.4 x 1.9 x 1.2 cm
A sharp pseudo with very good definition and luster - unusual for the lcoality! 1.1 x .9 x .9 cm
From the big find in the mid 1990’s, this specimen of limonite after pyrite, is a floater, and represents the best of that deposit. The original striations and cubic form are just superb. The color is a rich, chocolate brown, and the large, equant crystal is 4 cm across. GREAT MINIATURE! 4.2 x 3.5 x 3.3 cm
Goethite comes in a huge array of forms, almost all of them really ugly. But look at this tower of superb, sharp crystals with a dark bronze luster! It is complete all the way around, and looks like modern art! 4.8 x 3.2 x 3 cm
A very nearly pristine, sharp, lustrous, striated, rust-brown, floater goethite after pyrite crystal from an uncommon Arizona locality, Silver Zone Pass. There is jus a small bruise on one face, otherwise perfect ALL around! Ex Ed Ruggiero Collection, who purchased this piece in February, 1975. 3.5 x 3.1 x 2.7 cm
Here is a rare old North Carolina pseudomorph, a perfect one, in face, of goethite that has replaced two intergrown crystals of pyrite, retaining the form perfectly! An index card that came with it showed it to have been purchased 40 years ago at a mineral show in Washington, DC. 2.6 x 1.6 x 1.6cm
I want to say right off that the photos DO NOT capture the unbelievable iridescent rainbow flash of this extraordinary specimen. The true colors flashing across the face of this botryoidal limonite specimen are amazing greens, reds and golds that the camera could not pick up. The luster is an intense, almost wet look. Saw one dealer with a few of these at a show this year and bought the best of them. 10.5 x 8.7 x 2.6cm
An unusually large, striking pseudomorph of goethite that has replaced pyrite crystals. This floater cluster has a fine antique bronze patina. Looks like modern art! 5.9 x 5.9 x 5.3cm
Goethite is usually seen as a rather dull and non-descript mineral, but these old Colorado specimens feature goethite at its best, as gleaming crystal sprays - rarely, as a radial "star" such as this one! 4.0 x 3.7 x 2.8cm
The last of only two of these we were able to acquire recently. I want to say right off that the photos DO NOT capture the unbelievable iridescent rainbow flash of this extraordinary specimen - and therefore we will GUARANTEE satisfaction to the winner of this auction! The true colors flashing across the face of this botryoidal limonite specimen are amazing greens, reds and golds that the camera could not pick up. The luster is an intense, almost wet look. Saw one dealer with a few of these at a show this year and bought the best of them. The first one was hotly bid on, and we are sure the winner will be thrilled when he sees the unbelievable look of this mineral! This one is equally good - so dazzling it hardly looks natural! 14 x 7 x 4 cm
A simply outstanding and aesthetic cluster of goethite after pyrite crystals from the famed Pelican Point locality in Utah. This piece has SUPERB lustre on the rich, mahogany finish and is one of the very best that I have seen from this locality. Very minor edgewear if certainly not detracting. Ex Richard Hauck Collection. 4.3 x 4.0 x 3.8 cm
