12.4 x 9.6 x 4.9 cm. A large plate of stunningly pretty fluorite crystals, from the Elmwood Mine. These crystals are unusual zoned crystals with a dark purple rind around a lighter core. For reference, the big crystal measures 2.5 cm along the edge. The crystals are nicely contrasted against an earlier generation of very small, very light-colored fluorites, and this layer peeks through in places to set off the larger, dark purple crystals really nicely. You can see a bit of sphalerite at the bottom of the specimen. Ex. Consie Prince Collection.
16 x 15 x 9 cm. Densely-intergrown octahedra of deep green fluorite. One of them measures just under 8 cm across the front edge. The crystal faces have hundreds of micro-faces on them, giving them a silky luster.
18 x 14 x 14 cm. A huge matrix covered complete on the display side with shimmering, transparent golden fluorite crystals. A couple of calcite crystals, the larger measuring 7 cm, have grown on this field of fluorites. While secondary to the main cluster of fluorite on which they sit, they are a nice accent. A beautiful, large, sparkling yellow fluorite - and of rare size for the locale.
A large, 3-dimensional "knob" of fine, transparent crystals to 2.5 cm, showing the famous Okarusu green-purple tones. The crystals wrap around the sides of this projecting chunk of matrix, which is flat in back. 11.5 x 10.5 x 8.5 cm
This is not only a really pretty Chinese combo piece with fine overall form, but quite interesting as well. It combines purple fluorite with black sphalerites and gemmy quartz crystals, many of them containing needle-like crystals that could be cosalite -- or? Whatever it is, I have not seen this before. Other crystals contain more chunky, metallic-looking inclusions of a second mineral. The Chinese dealer who sold this piece is not available to add any information, so it remains rather mysterious. 12 x 8 x 3.5 cm
This pink fluorite is from a small batch we found with smaller but wonderfully transparent and deeply colored crystals, and sometimes, a white "rim" of matrix setting off the crystals, which really adds a lot to the overall beauty. To 1.3 cm, these are some of the best crystals I have seen from these finds in terms of clarity. No damage. 15 x 9.5 x 2.5 cm
Tried to photograph this crystal on two separate occasions but it just would not come out right. What is missing is the glassy luster that lets you see right through the face as if through light purple glass to a phantom sprinkled with chalcopyrite crystals within! YOu do not see the quality in the photos, as you are looking right through the glassy face. Guaranteed much better in person! Minor edge wear does not visually detract very much, though it is there. 3.8 x 3.5 x 2.8 cm
Sharp, glassy, transparent crystals to 2.7 cm, a cut above the common cloudier ones of a muddier green. 9.5 x 4.5 x 4 cm
Very sharp, grassy green crystals to 3 cm, sitting up nicely on the matrix, with interesting corner modifications on the two larger crystals. 7.5 x 5.5 x 5 cm
A large, very sharp, deep purple fluorite with wonderful zoning and an attractive, architectural display face. There is a slight corner ding and one other small edge ding, but overall the specimen is in very good condition for a piece this size (natural contact in back). 10 x 6 x 5 cm
You can see a little euhedral fluorite crystal quite clearly, floating right in the middle of the fine, transparent quartz crystal that juts up from the matrix! As this was shot to show the fluorite inclusion clearly, the matrix was not emphasized, but it is actually quite pretty - bright sparkly pyrite with intermixed quartz crystals, the attractiveness of which does not show up in the pic. At any rate - this is an interesting, pretty and uncommon Russian specimen purchased from Dr. Petr Sztacho as he and Jaroslav Hyrsel were accumulating so many included pieces before publication of Jaroslav''s book on the subject. 7.5 x 7 x 6 cm
18.4 x 10.2 x 7.4 cm. A big specimen of large crystals of emerald-green fluorite from a find at the Sn-polymetallic ore field in Xianghualing. Under good light, these crystals really glow. They are octahedrons that measure up to 5.5 cm along the edge.
10.1 x 5.5 x 4.9 cm. These are glass-clear, light green cubes, with pretty bevels along the edges, to 2.5 cm. There are two sensational intergrown crystals at one end of the matrix, and a cluster of a half-dozen crystals at the other end.
4.4 x 4.4 x 3.8 cm. Dal’negorsk is quite famous for its "water-clear" fluorites, and large crystals such as this are very rare. This one is really unique, though, because of its extremely unusual faces: they have a silky, pebbly luster to them, rather than the typical glassy look…with little scallops, somewhat like the surface of a golf ball. It looks like an ice cube that certain ice-makers produce.
14.9 x 7.4 x 2.8 cm. A large, elongated, thin matrix is covered with glistening, golden cubes of transparent fluorite. These crystals have superb gemminess.
