6.2 x 5.4 x 5.1 cm. From the new finds at the Okarusu Mine, which have turned up colors never seen from there before! We put this one under good light to show off the absolutely unique colors here - bright golden yellow, with blushes of scarlet in the interior!
6.3 x 5.1 x 2.3 cm. From the new finds at the Okarusu Mine, a cluster of sharp purple crystals with high luster and good transparency!
6.2 x 3.4 x 1.9 cm. You have seen a lot of spessartine garnets from Tongbei, but here is a VERY rare example of a GEMMY, PRISTINE octahedral FLUORITE sharing the feldspar matrix with the spessartines! I have myself seen literally TONS of this Tongbei material, and NOTHING like this. It is rare enough to have a euhedral fluorite on these at all, much less a jewel like this one (1.3 cm). It is truly glasslike, which does NOT come out in the pics because the camera sees right through the glassy faces.
9.5 x 5.4 x 5.1 cm. From the exciting recent re-mining at this classic locality, which turned up specimens of truly exceptional quality...a LARGE specimen consisting of piled-up crystals of complex, beautiful form. It lights up with a brighter, pretty green color MUCH BETTER than in the pic under a decent case light! But at least the pic shows you the beautiful tiered form and silky luster.
3.0 x 3.0 x 2.6 cm. A BEAUTIFUL and AESTHETIC Chinese combination specimen from the famous Yaogangxian Mine. An intergrown cluster of glassy, water-clear purple fluorite cubes with excellent edge zoning is artfully perched on a mounded matrix of lustrous, pastel yellow-green muscovite. The muscovite is festooned with tiny calcite rhombs. A really neat toenail.
8.4 x 6.4 x 3.3 cm. A fine example of the Chalcedony pseudomorphs after Fluorite from Blinkpan. The crystal form remains very sharp, and the attractive banding in the matrix adds even more to the overall aesthetics. Ex. Charlie Key stock.
11 x 9 x 6 cm. The green Erongo Fluorites have become famous in their own right, but to find them in such superb combination with the rare and desirable clear Goshenite Beryls, as well as Smoky Quartz, is a thing to behold. Both the Fluorites and Beryls range up to 2 cm, and the Smoky about 3 cm. The luster on the fluorites is silky and very good, as is the gemminess and zoned coloration. The Beryls have superb luster. Overall, this is an incredible combination piece - one of the best I have seen from this region. Ex. Charlie Key stock.
15.7 x 9.3 x 2.5 cm. An incredible Fluorite on amethystine Quartz from the famous locality in India. The largest Fluorite sphere is an amazing 2.5 cm across, and the color and luster are superb. Ex. Charlie Key collection.
5.7 x 4.4 x 2 cm. This is a remarkable specimen. The pegmatitic matrix is covered by beautiful gemmy green Fluorites (up to 1 cm) laced with needles of Schorl. Emerging from one side is a lovely gemmy .9 cm Aquamarine crystal. Some of the trace minerals are fluorescent, as well. Really, this is quite an amazing combination piece. Ex. Charlie Key stock.
8.8 x 6.2 x 4.5 cm. A large plate of the well-known Grant County Fluorites from New Mexico but a quality seldom seen. The crystals on here are very gemmy, have a lovely blue-green color, and excellent luster. The octahedrons have the beautiful stepped faces, up to 2 cm on edge, which make a nice contrast to the famous scalloped faces you often see from Grant County. There is even a light preferential Barite dusting on some of the faces. Lovely and aesthetic, this is a wonderful Fluorite. Ex. Charlie Key stock.
7.7 x 6.8 x 7.7 cm. An excellent pair of greenish-yellow Fluorite spheres on a plate of Chalcedony. The largest sphere is 2.2 cm in diameter, and the smaller sphere has a partially exfoliated outer layer (which actually creates very nice visual interest). A very fine specimen from a classic locality now known for this unusual botryoidal fluorite habit. Ex. Charlie Key collection.
14.2 x 9.9 x 9.6 cm. This is a BIG cluster of fluorite crystals from the Okarusu Mine. While the color is dark and the surface is a bit rough, you can see clearly when you put it under good light that the interior is s superb FACET-QUALITY transparent teal blue, with purple highlight.
9.9 x 5.1 x 2.1 cm. From the exciting new finds at the Okarusu - a plate of crystals of the "classic" Okarusu appearance: green with purple highlights. The crystals measure to 1.3 cm across. They have good luster and transparency!
6.4 x 6.2 x 4.9 cm. Large crystals (to 3 cm across the edge) with glassy transparency and pretty frosted bevels, from the Xianghuapu Mine in China. They have a subtle light green color. The insides look just like glass!
8.2 x 6.9 x 3.9 cm. From the recent exciting finds at the Okarusu - in stark contrast to the specimens of "classic" color, here is a plate of wonderful purple crystals, many with dark, sharp phantoms inside! It has great luster. The crystals measure to 1.5 cm. Sawn on back to remove from host matrix.
