Fluorites come in virtually all colors of the rainbow, and are some of the few gems that occur in multicolor stones. I've seen this type of Fluorite from China, but never from Argentina. The stone comes from a trusted source so I have confidence that it's genuine. The stone shows alternating purple, blue-green and golden-yellow color banding throughout. It's a very attractive gem with a standard "Emerald" cut. A beautiful, larger, multi-color Fluorite for any collector.
An extremely rare specimen of large, isolated FLUORITE crystals from this famous locality for which fluorite is one of the most rare minerals to obtain! And, its aesthetic, to boot. Its the best Panasquiera fluorite I have seen for sale , at least in the states.

Perched aesthetically on a contrasting matrix of silvery galena and stark white calcite, is a cluster of intergrown, glassy and gemmy spinel-twinned crystals of fluorite. The fluorite cluster measures 6 cm across. Minor, white calcite crystals, to 0.75 cm in length are associated with the galena crystals that reach 0.5 cm across. This is an appealing combo specimen from Naica with lots of contrast. The aesthetic perch of the fluorite atop the stalk of matrix makes it unusual, as does the twinning so evident in the crystal itself. The crystal atop is remarkably in good shape and not repaired. This is a classic color, a pastel green hue, for the locale. Probably it was mined in the 1980s. This specimen was on loaned exhibit in the University of Arizona Museum for over a decade until my purchase of this collection in 2008. MUCH more gemmy in person! Comes with custom lucite base already made for the specimen.
Starkly isolated, discrete, modified cubes of glassy and gemmy, colorless crystals of fluorite, to 1.7 cm, are emplaced on a beautifully contrasting, brassy yellow druse of pyrite. Brown sphalerite crystals with gemmy highlights sit on the periphera of the specimen. The fluorite crystals are exceptionally well formed and the color and texture contrast is amazing. Small crystals, but big impact in this specimen! NOTE - not from the Romero collection but fit in well with the Mexican theme of this update and so was posted here

Botryoidal and sugary, white calcite is the matrix for two, glassy and gemmy, lavender fluorite crystals, to 2.75 cm across. Both fluorite crystals exhibit stepped growth. Aesthetic Miniature of a rare style for this locality. Comes with custom lucite base already made for the specimen.

A most unusual matrix of snow-white, botryoidal calcite, with spheres up to 5.0 cm across, is the host for discrete, glassy and gemmy, lavender, fluorite crystals, to 2.5 cm across. Every fluorite crystal exhibits incredibly complex and dramatic stepped growth. The color contrast is also marvelous. I have not before seen fluorite of this particular style ON this kind of matrix from here, and the Romero collection had just one large piece , from which we trimmed away a damaged portion to create this far better , if smaller, specimen - still a full cabinet size, but now without the damage he would have seen on a portion of the original piece. Comes with custom lucite base already made for the specimen. This specimen was on loaned exhibit in the University of Arizona Museum for over a decade until my purchase of this collection in 2008.

This is just a wonderful , aesthetic combo specimen from Naica, among the most unique I can recall seeing. The matrix is a lustrous and translucent, doubly terminated, milky white rhomdohedral crystal of calcite measuring 5 cm across. Perched aesthetically on the calcite crystal are 3 complexly intergrown octahedrons of lustrous and translucent, lavender-purpley fluorite to 2.6 cm in length. As if their intergrowth were not complex enough, they exhibit stepped growth which creates a myriad of reflecting facets. For added measure the fluorite crystals are studded with brassy yellow pyrite crystals, to 2mm across. Superb in every way, this is a unique specimen far beyond the usual combo. You couldn't make better aesthetics if you glued it together. Comes with custom lucite base already made for the specimen. This specimen was on loaned exhibit in the University of Arizona Museum for over a decade until my purchase of this collection in 2008.

This piece is made up of three glassy and gemmy fluorite cuboctahedrons, exhibiting incredibly intricate stepped growth and subtle color gradations in person. The largest crystal measures 4.5 cm across and the color of all three is a light emerald green with slight amethystine color centers. All in all , a most unusual Naica fluorite from the heyday here. Comes with custom lucite base already made for the specimen.

Great aesthetics highlight this combination specimen with a matrix of galena. Aesthetically perched high on the galena is a single, glassy and gemmy, cuboctahedron of emerald green fluorite, measuring 3.5 cm across. Wreathlike clusters of drusy, ivory colored calcite, surround the fluorite and accent it. The balance of the fluorite with the galenas also adds to make this a wonderful combo specimen for the locale, with most of its classic species on one piece. MORE GEMMY IN PERSON! Comes with custom lucite base already made for the specimen.
While fluorites of this style from Dalnegorsk often appear with quartz, it is very unusual for larger, isolated quartz crystals to be intimately intergrown with the fluorites, as here. In fact, you even have quartz crystals spiking right through the fluorites! The fluorites are modified cubes with clear windows framed by frosty bevels; they measure to 3 cm.

Bob Whitmore collected this in 1964, and although I have paid attention to material from this mine since I was a kid myself, some 25 years, I have not owned a better one in all that time. It is a VIVID, GEMMY green color, almost neon in intensity, and the crystals sparkle as if they were greased with oil. They are comparable in intense color to the rare green crystals fro mMalmberget, but even more jewel-like and sparkling. This is probably pricey, yes, but it is REALLY that good: I know this beyond my hunch above because I showed it to a number of folks who were shocked at the quality, people who had lived or dug in Bancroft area for 30 years and more.
An extremely rare specimen from a small find of beautiful , sparkly, fluorite pseudomorphed after calcite. The sparkle is in part due to a an overgrowth of tiny drusy quartz, but the fluorite is also nice and bright in itself. Excellent specimen from the Peter Megaw Collection
This superb miniature really stands out amongst others I have seen, even back in the heyday of these mines. The crystals are large, lustrous, and translucent. they have the best rich golden hue you can ask for from the locality. Importantly, they are perched perfectly on matrix of sharp, cubic, purple fluorite! It is a gorgeous specimen and a rare competition-quality barite from a district not known for such fine examples of the species on a common basis

This fascinating thumbnail is a must for both pseudomorph and Arizona collectors. Millimeter size, lustrous, orange, vanadinite crystals sprinkle the two, sharp crystals of calcite after fluorite. VERY interesting combo!
