A stunningly beautiful, sparkling cluster of bright yellow fluorite draped by bright white quartz crystals, for a pretty combo. This is a classic and very old locality for fluorite of course, but few such combination specimens of such beauty are around to own - I have not seen any for sale quite like this one.
A large, showy, very colorful cluster of cubic fluorites to 4 cm in size, from a very old locale. I have chosen not to clean this piece but with water, leaving the "old look" to it rather than making it bright and shiny - but the brown pocket clay and staiing would come off, if desired.
ex. Al Ordway
A thing of beauty, this Illinois fluorite exhibits stepped growth with gemmy overgrowths and razor sharp phantoms! It is very lustrous and nearly transparent , with a rich purple color on the edges and a core of amber. In addition there is color zoning at the crystal edges. Very elegant and colorful! It is simply better in person, as the combination of the color zones is hard to image with camera the way the human eye separates them. Sharp and nearly pristine, the piece is complete on all edges and contacted on the bottom only.
ex. Al Ordway
Lavender-colored, translucent, octahedrons of fluorite, in crystals to 1 cm across are emplaced on matrix. Around the outer edges of the specimen, the fluorite takes on a green color. I had not seen fluorite from San Bernardino County before, myself. This was in a labelled flat of pieces that Al apparently self-collected, though we do not know when.
ex. Charlie Key
A superb plate with unusually good relief to the crystals amidst the solid covering, and good form overall.

One of the larger plates in good condition, a very impressive large specimen overall!

A large plate in overall good condition, a little elongated - probably could be trimmed in two, and each half sold for the same! Super translucent crystals here, and rich coverage overall.

Not only for the size and condition, but for the overall "glow" of the colorful crystals, this is one of my favorites, and certainly one of the more elegant large pieces saved. Superb plate, with great relief to the crystals.

A good large plate. Has some minor damage, hence the low price
ex. Charlie Key
A good large plate but with some visually detracting attached secondary quartz coating in portions, hence the low price. Still, a lot of material for the price!
ex. Charlie Key
My favorite! A wonderful small cab, 100% translucent, with rolling 3-dimensional form and unusually good eye appeal!
ex. Charlie Key
A showy large specimen, excellent representation of the find for the price - discounted somewhat because it is a bit "blocky"
ex. Charlie Key
Extremely cute miniature with great form and translucency!
