There is no doubt that Swiss Pink Fluorites are the holy grail of Fluorite collectors, so to have a quality miniature come available is a true find. This one is quite unusual! The Fluorites drape attractively on the tip of a lustrous and bright, gemmy, tabular Quartz crystal (itself complete all around save a small contact at the bottom). Each fluorite is a gemmy pink octahedron with excellent luster and sparkle to it! Though there are not the classic bigger crysatls here, the combination as a whole is striking and unusual, so you can see why it was in this collection. 4.8 x 2.4 x 1.2 cm
A glittering, attractive combination specimen featuring a gemmy, clear fluorite crystal perched on a pedestal of galena crystals, and itself draped gently by a glistening coating of sparkling white calcite. This is a striking combo piece from a localitythat, while not quite defunct, now longer produces this assemblage. 7.6 x 4.6 x 3.6 cm
A PERFECT, COMPLETE-all-around, GEMMY, crystal perched PERFECTLY on matrix! No wonder it was the cover for the special issue ON fluorite! Note that the specimen has been cleaned since its original shot, removing the iron staining which in person was quite distracting (though i admit it looked interesting in the cover shot). 5 x 4.5 x 3.7 cm
An excellent deal on an extreely aesthetic, well-balanced matrix gem aqua crystal! As a bonus, it has a small sidecar pinkish apatite associated 7.7 x 5.1 x 3.8 cm
This specimen exemplifies the best qualities, translucency and rich grape-purple color, of the fluorite mined in about 2003 from this mine in China. The fluorite grew and was covered later by a layer of quartz, which could be physically removed to expose again the underlaying fluorites now perched in translucent plates of purple and white. This large specimen features two such crystals, well-isolated, and is one of the best I have seen for sale since the original lot from whence it came. These are stunning specimens in person! 14 x 7.3 x 5.2 cm
This crystal, intricately zoned, has the best glassy and gemmy qualities you could ask for. It is centrally perched on matrix. They just don't make them much better! The mines are now closed, and specimens of this quality simply haven't been available in years at ANY price. As expensive as they may seem now to those of us who remember picking through tonnes of the stuff as a kid, they can only go up in price further as demand continues for those who want to own a great US classic, and yet the supply now is only from recycled collections. Even when common, though, this one would stand out for quality... 7.2 x 4.8 x 3.4 cm
A VERY interesting fluorite, SHOT through with inclusions of stibnite that are wholly contained WIHTIN the crystal, and not present on the quartz matrix itself?! 2.8 x 2 x 2 cm crystal. NOTE: NOT FROM THE ZINN COLLECTION (but it got mixed in with them and photo'd , so i left it for the update). The stibnite was confirmed by xray at the university of boudler in colorado, i am told. 5.8 x 3.5 x 2.5 cm
Two GLASS-CLEAR fluorite crystals, the larger 1.5 cm across, of a light pastel purple shade, nestled perfectly in bladed barite. A sensational mini of the world-class Berbes fluorite - just a stunning mini. 4 x 4 x 2.7 cm
Cubes of purple fluorite, intergrown with gemmy quartz needles, on a matrix of tetrahedrite and pyrite. Sparkling and colorful! 5.4 x 4.3 x 2.6 cm
Smoky Quartz from Colorado in combination with anything is usually a good deal, but this is a GREAT big deal for what it is. The Smoky is well-formed, lustrous, and has excellent color. The Fluorite is every bit as good, being a sharp octahedron with a very good silky luster and a variegated purple-to-white color. This excellent specimen will have appeal to many collectors. It is very 3-dimensional! 2.2 x 2.2 x 2.2 cm
Clear to frosted Fluorites perched beautifully on the Scheelite. Not only are the Fluorites partially gemmy, but they contain a sharp narrow purple zone and included needles of what may be Ferberite. 2.2.x 2 x 1.9 cm
A very attractive, balanced, display-quality specimen that features two pagoda-like towers of benstonite sticking up from the matrix of benstonite-covered calcite and fluorite. NICE! 6.4 x 5.3 x 4.3 cm
A large and showy specimen covered all around with pagoda-like towers of benstonite! This piece is amazingly, nearly pristine. It is one of the largest benstonite specimens I have ever seen for sale, and is certainly the richest in terms of coverage. The pedigree is an added bonus. 7.5 x 6.5 x 6 cm
A large, superb specimen of fluorite from the Okarusu, with fine transparent green crystals to 2.7 cm across. Many of the crystals show wonderful stepped growth on the corners. The specimen is sawn flat on the bottom, as is true for most of these. This recent batch from the Okarusu is an unusually bright green. 10.9 x 8.6 x 4.6 cm
A cluster of highly-modified, transparent light blue fluorite on a bed of velvety moss-green muscovite balls. The fluorite shows wonderful stepped growth, and is centered beautifully on this unusual matrix. The matrix and fluorite presents a pretty color contrast. 10.5 x 4.6 x 4.5 cm
