7.4 x 5.0 x 3.5 cm. Absolutely limpid and beautiful, pastel-green fluorite cubes make up an aesthetic cluster from recent finds at the Xianghualing Mine of China. The large cube is 3.0 cm wide. All of the cubes have very interesting, frosted, beveled edges. The crystals are pristine. This is contemporary classic material of excellent quality.
17.8 x 10.4 x 2.5 cm. Until these lustrous, translucent, pink fluorites were discovered in Mexico, Peru and the Alps were the only sources for pink fluorite. These translucent octahedrons measure up to a large 3.0 cm (among the largest crystals so far), and have vivid, deep pink color against the beautifully contrasting white matrix. An excellent, sculptural large cabinet plate. Vivid purple fluorescence.
15.3 x 11.8 x 6.0 cm. This Chinese fluorite find has to be one of the most exciting of the past five years - large plates of razor-sharp, translucent octahedrons with unique purple and green tones, in contrasting stark white quartz. The mining has stopped now - any specimens you see are from existing stock. The crystals on this sculptural large cabinet plate measure to 2.0 cm. Essentially damage-free. I particularly like the aesthetics of the isolation of the crystal clusters on this large piece.
Classic transparent purple cubes to 3.5 cm on edge, with accenting calcite crystals. The crystals show some pretty zoning. There are a couple of corner dings but as you can see, the specimen is in good shape overall. 6.0 x 5.0 x 3.0 cm
A gemmy 1.4-inch fluorite (intergrown with a smaller one), of a beautiful light blue with blushes of deep purple, right on the face of a superb, terminated (on top) ferberite crystal! What a gorgeous combo specimen! 4.4 x 3.5 x 2.5 cm
An incredibly big, beautiful and showy fluorite specimen, MUCH prettier in person as these grass-green transparent fluorites are very difficult to shoot. These specimens should not be confused with the more familiar ones of a duller green that came from China in quantity; these are a brighter, prettielight grass green. The crystals on this specimen, measuring to 2.4 cm across, are frosted on some of their faces and glass-clear on others, giving a window into the absolutely water-clear interiors. The crystals are beautifully piled up in a knob on the matrix, and an "arm" extends out to the side , also covered with crystals. Damage is hard to find . ... this is just super! 15.6 x 11.1 x 10.2 cm
A large plate of bright pink fluorite from the recent Mexican finds that have finally put pink fluorite specimens in reach of average collectors. This big plate features crystals to 1.8 cm, of fine color and transparency, and shows some of the contrasting matrix, which is quite unusual for these and adds a lot of attractiveness. 19.5 x 10.5 x 5.6 cm
A big plate covered with fine fluorite cubes of the classic Blanchard teal blue, measuring to 0.9 cm. Very little damage to be seen anywhere - a big, impressive specimen indeed. NOTE THE LARGE SIZE…. 26.0 x 13.1 x 12.2 cm
4.9 x 3.0 x 3.0 cm. This is from a rare and highly desirable locality, with unique and distinct style. Two pastel pink, gemmy, heavily modified fluorite crystals to 1.5 cm across are aesthetically perched on lustrous, sugary adularia, a variety of orthoclase. Although not as deeply colored as some of its alpine cousins, the transparency and complexity of the crystals is absolutely superb. This pocket, or this style rather from this region, is notable for its difference from the common sort of Alpine fluorite. Ex. Francis and Patricia Benjamin Collection.
7 x 5.4 x 3.3 cm. An attractive set of three highly etched, light green-blue Fluorite octahedrons from the well-known Erongo area. The largest of the crystals is 5.5 cm across and 2.5 cm thick. Rarely do you see Erongo Fluorites in this attractive shade, nor do you often see them as consistently gemmy as these are. Unusual and very good. Ex. Charlie Key.
5 x 4.8 x 3.6 cm. Attractive cluster of intergrown cubes and octahedrons of Fluorite. The luster is silky, and the yellow color is unusual for the famous locality. The crystals are translucent, and quite appealing. Ex. Charlie Key.
4.9 x 3.8 x 3.7 cm. A very distinctive cluster of gemmy Fluorites from the Okorusu Mine in Namibia. Fluorites from Okorusu are renowned for their green and purple zoning, and in this case they are very unusual purple ''eyes'' rather than the full phantoms. Also, they are very gemmy, which is much less common from here. The largest crystal is 1.7 cm on edge, and they all have superb mirror-like luster. The kicker, though, is that these Fluorites have a bright blue-white fluorescence, reminiscent of an English Fluorite proud. This is unusual for Okorusu, and so it adds even more to the aesthetics. A wonderful specimen. Ex. Charlie Key.
A very large, striking fluorite specimen, with pretty, intergrown purple crystals to 3 cm across the edge, and just a bit of accenting calcite to set them off nicely. The crystal faces show very interesting stepped growth patterns resulting from uneven growth. 13.9 x 10.6 x 7.5 cm
Gorgeous translucent green octahedrons on an earlier generation of purple/gray fluorite. This is one of the relatively few that are decorated with beautiful dove-gray nailhead calcites. Crystals measure to 4.5 cm on edge. 13.5 x 11.0 x 8.4 cm
This is actually a single very large sphalerite crystal with a myriad of faces on it, with accenting barite, and a tiny purple fluorite crystal. From the now-closed Elmwood. 5.6 x 4.3 x 2.9 cm
