10.7 x 10.0 x 9.5 cm. A stunning cabinet fluorite specimen from the Ed David Collection. This huge, translucent, sharp, green octahedron with matte-lustre has amazing blue-green color zoning parallel to one of the side faces. This is a complete all-around, floater specimen. A striking green fluorite octahedron with unique banding. Dr. David’ label says "Omakura Mountains", which we believe is in the Orange River area.
3.0 x 2.8 x 1.7 cm. A beautiful and rare specimen from the Beckermet Mine, Egremont, England. Lustrous, water-clear, deep ice-blue, fluorite cubes to 1.4 cm with excellent color zoning are aesthetically set on a thin crust of bubbly, banded hematite. This is a very rare and excellent combination piece from this historic locale.
3.1 x 2.3 x 1.9 cm. A rare and fine specimen of a sharp, water-clear to translucent, spinel-twinned fluorite crystal with striking, intensely purple color zoning from recent finds at the Shangbao Pyrite Mine of China.
4.6 x 3.5 x 2.2 cm. This piece features a sharp, gemmy, deep purple cubic crystal of Fluorite measuring 1.8 cm on edge smartly perched atop a mound of crystallized reddish-brown Sphalerite. A classic example of an Elmwood Fluorite on matrix.
16.7 x 8.8 x 8.0 cm. At 1267 grams, this is a huge, nearly pristine, intensely green cluster of the new octahedral fluorites from this site. The color on this one excellent, much more intense than the norm.
A aesthetic specimen of "invisible" fluorite cubes to 9 mm preferentially perched on the side and at the base of coated quartz crystals. Very few of these have come out of Dalnegorsk in the last few years. Old specimen from the early days of dalnegorsk production, which i got from tim sherburn years ago 5.3 x 3.4 x 2.0 cm
A showy combination piece of translucent and lustrous quartz crystals, preferentially coated with paper-thin calcite crystals and lustrous pyrite cubes and etched purple fluorite octohedrons aesthetically mounted at the front of the specimen. 8.8 x 6.5 x 5.5 cm
5.2 x 3.5 x 2.3 cm
12.5 x 8.5 x 3 cm
A large and SUPERB fluorite specimen from the now-closed Gordonsville. It features a transparent crystal 4.2 cm across the edge, complete all around, with fine zoning – much less common in these Smith County fluorites than from Illinois and elsewhere. Specimens of this caliber are sure to appreciate as the supply of these on the market increasingly dries up. Get the good ones while you can! 8 x 6 x 5.5 cm
6.4 x 5.5 x 5.0 cm. Beautiful, very glassy, water-clear fluorite cubes with intensely purple color zoning and distinctive, frosted, modified corners are very aesthetically set on a mounded matrix of massive fluorite, feldspar and quartz on this excellent specimen from recent finds at the Shangbao Pyrite Mine of China. The cubes reach 2.3 cm on this piece. Ex. Mijer Collection.
10.0 x 6.9 x 2.1 cm. A striking, solid, cabinet crust of rich, golden-yellow fluorite cubes to 1.7 cm from a classic, ancient French fluorite mine - the Les Sausses Mine in Auvergne. Interestingly, some of the faces are water-clear, while others are preferentially, lightly frosted. Moderate purple fluoresence. Ex. Mijer Collection.
7.8 x 5.9 x 4.4 cm. A rich and fine mound of lustrous, deep purple fluorite octahedrons from Catron County, New Mexico. The crystals measure up to 1.5 cm and are very nicely complimented by the starkly contrasting white quartz matrix. This is an excellent example from this well-known locale. Ex. Mijer Collection.
9.5 x 7.9 x 2.2 cm. Until these lustrous, translucent, pink fluorites were discovered in Mexico, Peru and the Alps were the only sources for pink fluorite. These octahedrons measure up to 1.9 cm, and have vivid, deep pink color with some violet highlights against the beautifully contrasting white matrix.
6.8 x 5.0 x 2.1 cm. Lustrous, water-clear purple fluorite cubes with fabulous violet phantoms are very aesthetically clustered on needle quartz on this excellent fluorite specimen from the Sweet Home Mine. The cubes reach 1.1 cm on this piece. From the 1996 Blue Moon Pocket. Ex. Mijer Collection.
