An equant, almost 3.0 cm across, fully-terminated, translucent, purple cube of fluorite is aesthetically perched on splendent, black sphalerite crystals, to in length. Pristine and aesthetic miniature!!!!
An equant, 4 cm across, deep lavender, fully- terminated, fluorite crystal is perched on fluorite and gray galena cubes to 1 cm across. Very nice OLD specimen from this mine! IN person, it is quite dramatic for form. the lustre is a bit off, hence the low price; but the color and translucency are good and it displays well.
This large specimen features a cluster of nearly colorless (with interesting dark specks), gemmy fluorite crystals, to 7.5 cm across, perched on splendent, black sphalerite. There is even thin gray color zoning at the terminations of the fluorites. Except for some minor contacting around the edges of the fluorites , they are actually complete around the back due to microcrystallization covering the surface where they must have previously broken off fomr the matrix attached to the back of them. This makes them very translucent, compared to crystals which might be more 3-dimensional in back but hav ethe same frontal breadth to them. There are a few small cleaves here and there, but trivial in context and hard to see as well, so i do not think that there is damage of note, although there are some few small defects. Nevertheless, the price on this impressively-sized specimen is also adjusted down, anyhow: and so I think it is a LOT of matrix fluorite for the money, here
On a matrix of massive sphalerite is a large plate of fine, translucent, color zoned, purple fluorite cubes, to 6.0 cm across. The fluorite is also the host for three clusters of ivory colored barite and a few gemmy little calcites. THIS MONSTROUS PLATE has very little damage, almost none. It is much more appealing in person where you will see that backlighting shows off some internal translucence and phantoms...difficult to show in our photos of such a large piece.
A druse of gray dolomite is host matrix for a nearly equant, gemmy, nearly colorless fluorite cube, measuring 3 cm across. it is complete but for a small amount of hard-t-see edge wear on the back of the upper edge - trivial in context but it is there . Above it is a a splendent, 4 cm , sphalerite crystal with gemmy highlights (cleaved or contacted on top but the display face is all crystallized). This is a very unusual specimen, for the fluorite style.
This HIGHLY UNUSUAL translucent fluorite specimen exhibits stepped growth, with darker purple color on the crystal edges and even embedded in the crystal. The luster has a chatoyant, uneven, quality, except for the super lustrous corners of the crystal which are actually transparent. It is just plain weird, and by that I mean different for the mine AND visually interesting to the collector. It is complete all around, with microcrystallization around the backside.

Transparent, light purple, fluorite cubes with exquisite stepped faces, appear to be dusted with white mm size calcite crystals. The two large, equant crystals are each 2 cm across and they exhibit wonderful luster. Internally, the piece is totally gemmy, so that you can read and see right through the composite crystals (see rightmost photo). BEAUTIFUL IN PERSON!

An amazing specimen with absolutely top color and gorgeous gemminess! THis is very 3-D and sculptural, and consists of two generations of fluorite: a sharp cubic form with glassy faces and gem interior, perched atop a previous generation of yellow fluorite. Where the later fluorite is deposited, the internal yellow cube faces are protected from the etching that seems to have selectively dissolved the rest of the yellow fluorite , leaving behind this weird specimen showcasing wonderful cube faces perched on stilts of yellow fluorite. I don't know how else to say it. it is pretty neat in person....more so than the pics indicate
A stunning combination piece, among the larger pristine specimens to come from this pocket to my knowledge, with two clusters of GEMMY, TRANSPARENT fluorite flanking a central tower of crystallized sphalerite. The sphalerite is lustrous and glassy. The fluorites are totally clean and transparent - and free of any damage. The fluorite clusters measure 5 and 8 cm verticlaly, and eahc is terminated on the bottom end as well if you look at the undersides. The 3-dimensionality is remarkable! The fluorite on the left is nearly colorless with a faint lavender hue, and the one on the right is nearly colorless with just a faint green pastel hue in some lighting. They are essentially colorless though, and so the geometry is all the more apparent as you lok into each complex cluster. The stark contrast of the lustrous, jet black sphalerite between the two fluorite clusters makes the piece , and provides relief. It is MUCH MUCH better in person! Also, pieces like this are VERY distinct form earlier finds which had much more prominent galena association and less of the sphalerite. The rich , killer-quality sphalerite that is more common in this pocket is really quite unusual for Naica in any quantity, and with good fluorite in association.
A beautiful specimen with a rich pastel green color and TOTAL TRANSPARENCY, combined with unusually high internal glassy brightness...so overall, this sparkles like crazy. The fluorites show stepped growth one upon another, with cubes modified by octohedral faces at the edges for some very reflective bevels. The golden pyrite inclusions add some obvious pizzazz, and make it really interesting an eyecatching, I believe. Pristine, complete all around (contacted only on the bottom), and just a VERY fine Naica fluorite of classic habit!
Water-clear, SHARP cuboctohedral flurites perched one upon the other in a delicately balanced cluster upon a short stack of galena crystals! These fluorites are so clear you can look through to the galena inside or at the back. Also, there is a really neat group of floating pyrite crystals inside the large lower fluorite here, showing what appears to be a cast after an earlier crystal of fluorite or galena where the pyrite specks cumulatively retain the outline of a cubic predecessor. VERY NEAT, though subtle.
A really sculptural cluster of 1-inch fluorites, very gemmy and with nice green color, perched upon a little hill of sphalerite! Everything is bright and sparkly, and the fluorites leap out 3-dimensionally. To be picky, there is one VERY tiny ding on one crystal and one VERY unobtrusive shallow conchoidal sleave out of one tip of the rightmost. I have lowered the price accordingly or this would be $750, and visually it LOOKS like a more expensive piece if you don't mind those close-up , very minor, two spots.
A bright, beautiful piece with bright, beautiful pyrite inclusions galore! The crystals are just stunning in their clarity, color, and gemminess. Sadly, the right side of the crystal tower there is contacted in several places where it grew against something else, now gone; and the crystallization has thus been interrupted or left rough at the split. I do not think it is real damage, but the right side of the display face is thus rough to the touch, even though visually it looks pretty good (as you see!). Hence, the low price for probably the bet pyrite inclusions in fluorite in the lot!
