4.7 x 3.0 x 2.5 cm. An aesthetic cluster of splendent, striated, jet-black enargite prisms from Butte. Classic, old-time material. These are really fine and sharp enargite crystals from an old classic locality, certainly 40-60 years out of the ground and almost certainly one of the pieces brought out by the legendary Ed McDole. This piece features several highly lustrous, very sharp silvery-grey colored Enargite crystals associated with golden pyritohedra of Pyrite. The Enargite crystals measure up to 1.2 cm. Ex. 7.7 x 6 x 4.5 cm. Exceptional specimen of Enargite altering to Luzonite. The black blades of Enargite, which can reach 1 cm in length, have excellent luster, and the striations on the faces add greatly to the aesthetics. The Luzonite is growing on the terminations of many of the crystals, creating an unusual and attractive appearance to each Enargite. The Enargites surround a bed of beautiful lustrous Pyrites.

An UNCOMMON and EXCELLENT combination specimen from Butte of translucent, frosted, lavender fluorite cubes aesthetically placed on massive enargite matrix RICHLY covered with lustrous, black enargite crystals and nicely complimented by sprays of tiny, needle quartz crystals. This showy, OLD-TIME specimen is from the famous Leonard Mine and is from the John Ydren Collection. Well crystallized fluorite is not that common at Butte and this is a GOOD one.

A gemmy and lustrous, sharply hexagonal, 5 mm, blue apatite crystal stands beautifully upright in the middle of a rich field of enargite, highly lustrous, brassy pyritohedrons and needle quartz on this showy and excellent, old-time combination specimen from Butte. This VERY FINE combo piece is probably from the Leonard or East Colusa Mine. Ex. John Ydren Collection.

5.1 x 3.6 x 3.5 cm. Enargite is a Holy Grail mineral species for Butte and this showy and rich specimen is highlighted by an upright, lustrous, striated, 3.5 cm crystal front and center. The large crystal is nicely complimented by smaller enargites on a matrix of solid enargites. This excellent piece is from the famous Leonard Mine and is highly representative of the species and locale. Ex. George Elling Collection.
